Dumervil Firmly On Ravens Radar
Pass rusher Elvis Dumervil is "firmly on the Ravens' radar" says The Baltimore Sun's Aaron Wilson. Dumervil was released by the Broncos Friday in a fax machine screw-up after agreeing to take a pay cut. The 29-year-old pass rusher had 11 sacks last year. There is interest from several teams, Wilson reports, and the Ravens hope to meet with him after the owners meetings P. Schrager @PSchrags Ravens fans would change their doom n gloom tune awfully quickly if Elvis Dumervil signed with Baltimore. Salary cap room is there. |

Free agent Elvis Dumervil's fired player rep, Marty Magid, has agreed to waive Dumervil's five-day waiting period to hire a new agent. It's the least Magid could do after sabotaging his client's best interest. Dumervil is now eligible to hire another agent immediately, which in turn would allow Dumervil to sign with a team. The Ravens want to bring him in for a visit. Dumervil said he's interested in possibly playing for Miami, but no one's heard of any specific interest from the Dolphins yet. |

double boo for the crown rule. One step forward, two steps back. Haven't these guys ever played before? You are supposed to lower yourself as a runner as much as possible. :shakes head: Might as well be playing frickin soccer. BS! |

Regardless, this rule is fvcking stupid, and I think they're going to have a hell of a time enforcing it in questionable scenarios. Oh and good riddance, tuck rule :hello: |

If by "has been" you mean hall of famer that could certainly be a solid roleplayer on another team I guess.

Reason for Brian not reaching an agreement with the Bears is they couldnt pay him what he wanted and they didnt want to pay him too much for being 35 years old. Brian still has a season or two in the tank of decent play if he gets over his leg injury.
But saying he is a "has been" means you know nothing about the Bears and Brian Urlacher. I personally would have loved to see him back this year if the money was right, that way they could draft his replacment this year. DAN |
The bears offer was pretty insulting too: 1 yr, 2m

He is 35 years old with leg issues 1 year at 2.5 mil is a great offer for where he is at in his career. If he wanted to stay he would have taken it, Would he have stayed if Smith was still there and they offered him the same... I think so.
Like I said I wanted him to stay but it didnt work out so now they have to look to get younger at that position. DAN |
Urlacher is a has-been. He's too old, too fragile now.
Sure, he was decent (I refuse to say anything better, I dislike the Bears :p), but that's all history now. He's in the same boat as Ed Reed. He needs to quit while he can still walk, and stop doing TV commercials, because he royally sucks at that. |

For sure.
Picking him as the first pick in the fantasy draft over this year over everyone. Single-handedly will win me the league! :icon17: In all honesty, he's not worth the money that was paid to him. Especially now with his best receiver gone (Boldin). I'm half-curious to see how "good" he is this coming year. Though I don't think the Ravens make it passed the first round (or to the playoffs at all) this coming year either. |

If they cut him, it's Dilfer again and everyone else was jumping ship which would leave them with nothing. If they keep him, they grossly overpay. Either way it sucks which is fine with me because I don't like the Ravens lol |
FA Elvis Dumervil has reportedly received offers from both Denver and Baltimore,we may be nearing an end of the Saga, stay tuned!
Denver's deal is believed by many to be a 3 year deal, however terms are not yet known. Baltimore's offer details is not yet known. Elvis Dumervil - Unsigned Free Agent - 2013 Player Profile - Rotoworld.com |
