Sure is. Trent appears to be the best true basketball coach we have had in my memory. I liked Dale Brown, and hate his career ended with probation like it did, but he was a motivator first and a X and O's coach second (or worse). Trent appears to be a great X and O's guy but I worry about recruiting, so far not so good for basketball, but hes just getting started.

Now lets have a GREAT football season. The Tigers are going to surprise some folks by bouncing back strong this year. Jefferson at QB and Chavis coaching the D is just what we needed.

I said all last year that LSU needed to steal Chavis. I was sarcastically kidding at the time, but I was so happy when it became a reality.

In related news, how'd you end up in Orlando?

A job... I worked for DCC (Oracle consulting company) in New Orleans, and they asked me to move to Orlando. I still keep season tickets to LSU football. I was lucky and had season tickets all my life as both my Dad and Grandpa played football at LSU. I grew up in McComb MS and I do miss the area, even though Orlando is a fun place to live.

Great call on Chavis btw. Once he became a candidate I was really hoping we would get him.

Do you make any LSU football games? If so I would love to meet up and say hello before one. What part of Louisiana are you in?

I grew up in Thibodaux, but lived in Baton Rouge for five years while going to LSU. I'm currently in Shreveport (I do oil & gas title work), but try to get home for games. Last year, I rented a condo off Burbank so I could walk to games, but that got too expensive for a place that I never was in, so I gave it up. (sigh)

I don't have season tickets, but am pretty good at coming into tickets for important games.

I'd definitely like to hang out. Definitely get in touch when the season starts.

In game-related news, I'll be at the LSU vs UW game. I've never gone to Seattle, so I'm going to kill two birds with one stone.

Nice! That should be a great road trip - a real one of a kind trip for LSU, as we don't get out to the west coast much. I was in Tiger Stadium in 1983 when we beat UW 40-14. i think they came in ranked #9.

I will definitely PM you when the games get close, would love to meet up. I bet one game we will both be going to is the LSU-Florida game - its at night on CBS this year and should be a classic Saturday Night in Tiger Stadium.

We'll have to start a college football predictions thread as the season gets near.

If I lived that close I don't know if I would keep season tickets of just do as you do, its much easier when you are close like that to find tickets. Occasionally I have extra tickets - my parents have 4, Grandpa has 4 and I have 2 so sometimes we have some extras. If you start planning your season check with me if you want to.

its getting close now!

The home schedule isn't TOO exciting this year, outside of Florida & Auburn. Those are probably the two games to which I'll buy tickets.

My girlfriend has never been to an LSU game, so I'm taking her to a minimum of two (the UW game being her first). She has to experience a Saturday night home game.

I'll definitely start a college football thread when August rolls around. They're my favorite threads on most forums.
