well its pretty much perfect smashmouth football. Establish a dangerous run to open up man to man coverage while using said run to control the clock while your defense stifles any hope any other team has and forces them to play out of the shotgun. Wisconsin used to play like that.

They have a ton of offensive weapons which takes a lot of pressure off of their D when they're frankly not on the field that often. The first fistfight that unit got into this season was vs the Bears. You don't get too many of those before guys start getting hurt.
