Like I posted last night after ESPN's explanation of the rule, joint possession goes to the offense EXCEPT when one receiver establishes possession of the ball prior to the other

Like I posted last night after ESPN's explanation of the rule, joint possession goes to the offense EXCEPT when one receiver establishes possession of the ball prior to the other one. This is exactly what happened. With the conflicting calls by the refs on the field, they should have had more of a discussion of what happened before making a call on the field.
