I don't like winning games like that just as much as I don't like losing games like that.

Looks like the NFL will be addressing the call sometime today and I can't wait to hear what kind of BS they come up with now.
Here's an interesting result that I hadn't even considered before Seattle-Green Bay touchdown call could have altered $250 million in bets | Shutdown Corner - Yahoo! Sports |

Again, you can't take anything away from the Seahawks and their performance. They were in that game and never gave up. Same with the Packers. The frustration is with the NFL and the Referee Union. It's tainting the product on the field. |

the way I look at it... the call at the end of the packers call was NOT the worst call ive seen. there is a little bit of hard to call in real time for that one. And the type of play was just not reviewable so it was unfortunate. And it had a clear impact on game results.
But overall there have been alot more blatant miss calls or blatant bad calls. But this happens to both teams in every game so its hard to really determine who benifits in the end. BUUUT its still very clear that its all ******** and needs to stop regardless. |
I don't understand this crap. This isn't controversy. The call was simply wrong, plain and simple. I haven't heard anyone argue that it was correctly called. I don't understand why they can't fix it. The whole scenario is absurd. It was the last play, and would be over either way, so fix the d%#n call and give the win to the Packers. If the Seahawks had any integrity they would give up the win. I'm sick of the political correctness BS. There was a mistake, suck it up and fix it, regardless of whether the Seahawks get butthurt about it.
They said the play wasn't reviewable. Well, why not? "It's not in the rules." Seriously? I'm more concerned with getting the call right, regardless of what's in the "rules" for what is reviewable or not reviewable. This is why I can't watch baseball. |
The play was definitely reviewable and in fact was reviewed, with the TD call upheld after that review. There is no excuse for that call. All scoring plays are automatically reviewed as are all turnovers so either way it goes, it is an automatically reviewed play. The situation would not have been as bad if they reversed the call after the review, but they did not.

I heard, though, that possession is not reversible.
