a lot of Raven Fans were hoping he'd retire, this puts us in a bind with Flacco almost certainly now demanding big money... maybe not HUGE money but BIG money, now we got Reed out there too, along with Cary Williams , along with a few other players as well that we want to retain.... im dreading this off-season.

Probably didn't want his retirement to be completely overshadowed by Ray Lewis' retirement. They were saying that New England might be a potential landing spot for Ed Reed if he does leave Baltimore. We have a strong need at safety and Belichick has always talked about Ed Reed as the best in the game.

I know Bill has spoken highly of Reed throughout his career. anything is a possibility....but if he leaves...... Baltimore as a whole will be devastated....
