To be fair, by Jets standards he could be a servicable QB. Sanchez has sucked long and hard, at least Tebow has a knack for firing up his offense.

He's still a better QB than Sanchez. With a QB coach, he can still develop into a halfway decent passer. I'd take Tebow as my QB over some of the other derp QB's starting right now. He'd be an improvement at starting QB for the Jets, Jaguars, Cardinals, Chiefs, and maybe Browns/Raiders too. His stats might be ugly, but he can make plays and win games which is all that matters in the end.

News out of NY says that Sanchez will not be starting this week. Wonder if they will give the start to Tebow or McElroy. I'd give Tebow the start just so they could try and hopefully build up some trade value for him. Send Tebow to the Jaguars, they need the boost in ticket sales anyway.

Edit: Jags would have been a great fit for Tebow. He's a local legend and jersey sales would have gone through the roof. I'm afraid that ship has sailed now though.

I wouldn't say the Jags ship has sailed. Blaine Gabbert has sucked pretty bad this season and got benched for Chad Henne. Don't know whether or not they're gonna move forward with him as their starter next season. Also, don't forget that the Jags' new owner loves Tebow.

Also just a reminder that the Jags ACTIVELY tried to get Tebow to come there over NY and he turned them down flat. They even offered him more money than the Jets.

I think they will start Tebow just to see if he's worth keeping for next season.
