Just read on ESPN that if the Texans hadn't picked up JJ Watt with the 11th pick, that Patriots probably would have with the 17th. Fvck!

Dude I can not wait for the game on Monday! Just wish I could skip the rest of this week and get to it already.

Hopefully we get to watch a Thursday night beat down this week

Probably.

It's funny how at the beginning of the season the NFC looked really strong and the AFC looked weak. Now it's the opposite with the NFC heavyweights falling in recent weeks.

Houston will lose, our injuries are adding up and we are still unable to compete at the top level. I can see us going into the playoffs, winning a game or two and then falling flat. Now, will I be happy? Yes, it has taken 10 years but we are finally back to having a competitive football team.

Yeah I agree with you there. Too many key injuries on defense. Texans have been doing bad against the pass for the past few weeks. Though the only AFC teams I can see them losing to are Pats and Broncos.

Keyshawn Johnson just said "Young NFL players can't afford to hire a driver when they've been out drinking which is why they choose to drink & drive".

Really Keyshawn? Let's see how many holes we can poke in that argument.
Go:
-League minimum for a rookie in 2012 is $390k per year. I don't think that needs any further explanation.

-You can afford to drink but can't afford a cab?

-Dude in question was out drinking just a few hours before he was supposed to be flying out to play the Bengals. If I'm Jerry Jones, I'm not sure I'm ok with that.

-Why is it ok for NFL players to endanger themselves and everyone else on the road but not the rest of us?

Effing Keyshawn.

Isn't there a free driver service for all nfl players if drunk? There was a few years ago.

dmhenderson 12-09-2012 09:43 AM

Funny you should mention that. Yes there is! Players don't want to use that because their teams might use the fact that they are...oh I dunno responsible...against them in contract negotiations (according to Keyshawn).

Because y'know, killing people while driving around like a jackass (no offense Ryan Dunn) is obviously the more sane route.

b1adesofcha0s 12-09-2012 10:52 AM

Agreed on all points DM. Costs what like $50 max to get a cab? They make that much probably in less than a minute of game time.

I think you might just see that happen! I like watching RG3 he is an exciting player to watch I would almost say he is better then watching the old Vick play back when he was with Atlanta!

Side note: there are some really good matches today!

I've never seen anything but an elite flacco.
