They are currently playing like I ahve never seen them play all year. Even some of the players wanted to put his number on their helmets but was told they were not allowed due to his own actions.

I feel bad for the kid and the poor girlfriend (and the mother) but this guy doesn't deserve a day of mouring. I don't care if he was a saint prior to today. He murdered his girlfriend and ruined his kid's life in the most selfish and horrible way I can think of.

1) I didn't "go off". I just don't feel sorry for the guy or think he deserves an ounce of pity or a crappy halftime monologue. His mom and orphaned kid probably don't give a rat's a@@ whether the team played today or not.
2) Deadspin initially reported (while the story was breaking) that he shot his girlfriend in front of his mother. So they weren't "my facts" but thanks!
Nothing I said was directed at you. Professional athlete gets f'ed up on pain pills and booze and shoots his girlfriend to death then offs himself and everyone wants to nominate him for sainthood and honor his memory.
If this guy hadn't been a professional football player this wouldn't have even made the local 10 o'clock news. |
