lol I tried to stay awake for that one. I remember watching the start, and the first couple laps, then my eyelids shut. When they opened up, there were about 7 laps left with the eventual race winner in the lead. I grabbed a quick gander at the top ten, shut my eyes again, and then woke up to Two Guys Garage :rofl2:

Alonso at least drove consistently throughout the race. Perez... facepalm. -_-

Biggest disappointment is Vettel. :/

Hamilton? As long as he's not 1st, I'm happy. lulz

That's why I like rain races. It changes everything about the cars. Different drivers shine in wet conditions.

I went to bed at 10:30 and woke up at 3:45 so I could watch it. A 4am start is too late for me to stay up and watch.

Anyways, Ferrari won that one on strategy. Alonso kept his nose clean and was able to capitalize on McLaren's mistakes. The rain really equalized things too as the crappy Ferrari chassis is good in the wet, especially with Alonso at the wheel.

Perez... in a perfect world he'd have passed Alonso for the win. But, even if he didn't make a mistake he wouldn't have won. He'd have stuck right behind Alonso to bring it home in second place. There's no way he'd jeopardize his chances at taking Massa's seat by passing his future teammate for the win. And there's no way Ferrari would have allowed it to happen.

You see, but that is where he is weak, if that is true. If he had passed Alolnso ftw, a lot of teams outside of Ferrari would have taken a look at him, and if Ferrari stole a driver from one of the top rivals, that rival might think, hmm, how about we give that Perez chap a chance to drive? Ferrari is no longer the bee's knees in F1.

Just finished watching my record. HRT is a disgrace. Why are they even allowed to race. They just get in the way.
They screwed up 2 drivers today and ruined their races.

Good to see Senna and DiResta doing well. Williams looks so much better than last year. If only they didn't have to put up with that rich kid Maldonado...

Massa is finished.

haggomyeggo 03-28-2012 09:49 PM

Ugh 3 weeks till china!!
I need more F1!!!

rambunctious 03-29-2012 09:51 PM

What do yal think about Perez "being" told not to potentially pass Ferrari, because of the whole Ferrari engine in Sauber cars?

shadoquad 03-29-2012 09:54 PM

I think that it's sad.

m4a1mustang 03-29-2012 10:13 PM

I think it was 100% expected.

alcheng 03-30-2012 12:33 AM

Ferrari just raised the bar of "Team Order" to "Teams Order"

wilsonp 03-30-2012 05:37 PM

I think it's too much read into a radio message people forget is delayed when broadcast. I also don't think Perez would have listened anyway.

m4a1mustang 03-30-2012 06:10 PM

I've been watching F1 long enough to know never to give Ferrari the benefit of the doubt.

Titan1080 03-30-2012 10:28 PM

:iagree:

Just look at Spa 2009, Fisichella practically let Raikkonen by in order to take BaDoer's spot, and he wasn't even driving for a Ferrari engine customer! People do crazy things to please the Scuderia.
