Any skateboarding Z owners out there?

I've been skateboarding for thirty plus years off and on and still having a great time skating pools, pipes and skate park bowls. Anyone else still into skating?

Now I take my son skating with me and we go on road trips to skate some of the great parks in California.

I've skated for about 10 years, but haven't had a deck/setup for 8-9 months..

I love street skating... parks can be fun, too.

Hi bigsix, I am surprised that no one else on here skates. Especially since there are so many Z owners in California. That is the birth place of modern skating. I just ride pools and big bowls and pipes. I don't really street skate anymore.

Do you have any good skateparks in Thailand?

I have a CCS rail and Ramp Logic box at my parents house.

Used to love K grinds and 360 flips/Hardflips off the box.

Yeah, i'm surprised, too. Not to sound cliche, but the 370z seems like a Skater's car...

Not too many skateparks here in Thailand, but I mostly have seen stuff on the street.

Back home (Denver), there are some skateparks

Believe me, took me a long time to get them down!

It's nice to get back on the board every now and then.

I never got into boarding, but my brother skated for Santa Cruz... his name is Keith Meek.

During what years was/is he sponsored?

Don't think I know him

30+ years? Pssssh, you're just a babe. LOL, here's what my friends and I first had in the early 60's. I'm not fking kidding:

Eventually I graduated to this bad boy Hobie, with trucks that actually pivoted:

I haven't been on a board in about 5 years, though. Snowboards and skis for me now, I keep away from the pavement at my age.

bigsix 01-29-2012 09:21 AM

haha^

my first real setup was a Santa Cruz deck, Destructo trucks, Spitfire wheels, & abec 3 bearings...

That is awesome, you brother has a very well know graphic on his board and they even have a reissue board out now. Does he still skate?

Yes and surfs as well. He still lives in Santa Cruz & I believe one of his good buddies was/is Steve Caballero.

Thrasher!

Thanks,
Chris
