its reversed for now.

Cardinals, Oakland, Buffalo, Cincinnati, Cleveland are all disappointed they will have to play in 2011 and suck it up again.

kielbasa16 04-26-2011 08:59 AM

Sorry G-Men, the back page isnt big enough for the both of us, NY's team is now the J-E-T-S Jets!

(may the foot fetish jokes begin!)

There's only one team in DC/MD/VA that misses the playoffs

:iagree:

The Ravens, on the other hand, usually make the playoffs.

I'm with you man lol. Hopefully we could stay healthy and actually make some plays this year! I'm excited to see what Romo and Bryant can do full health.

I'm sorry. I know it must be nice to get tee times with your football heroes during the postseason, but which team has won a more recent title that plays in the state of MD? We were talking about MD teams, not that team from Pennsylvania.

Even then, at least my guys make the dance practically every year.

A more recent title, yes. "A" as in, singular. As in one. 5 conference championships and 3 Lombardi's in the trophy case mate. The team has been struggling as of late, yes, but we still support our team through good times and bad. Been proudly representing Washington DC, Maryland and Northern Virginia since 1937. The redheaded neighbors to the north only just joined the party. :tiphat:

But if you look at Baltimore Football, there's a few more trophies in that title case, silly boy. We've only had the Ravens since 1996. The Colts won a few titles, as well.

Look, just come call me when you guys make the playoffs, let alone win some games in the playoffs, like the Ravens have in each of the last three seasons.

Jon@AAMComp 04-26-2011 02:22 PM

My mistake. If we're counting them, add 1 extra title to the team who decided to leave Baltimore and relocate to Indy, and become more successful than the current Baltimore team in the process. Still leaves you short. :(

I'll be sure to keep you posted.

Wrong. There were titles before Super Bowls existed. The Colts won one super bowl in Baltimore and three NFL championships before that.

But that's if you even care about history.

Let's come back to recent history. Since the Ravens have existed, the Skins haven't even made their conference final.

shadoquad 04-26-2011 02:30 PM

Jon, I've had fun with you.

To be honest, I don't hate the Redskins, but don't go claiming they're the only game in town.

I hope they will compete again some day soon, and I'd love to see a Baltimore-Washington super bowl.

As much of cowboys fan as I am. I've never been sold on Romo. I feel he doesn't play well in high pressure situations. I excited that Jason Garrett is the head coach now and hopefully can motivate these guys to play well as a team.

I agree, he loves to turn the ball over in pressure situations. At the same time though, the offensive line is barely touching the defense as they cruise right over. If we could give him the proper tools around him I think he could be successful. I'm pumped for the Garret era, hopefully all these changes pay off!

I care about history. I was only referring to the current NFL, post merger.

You know I'm kidding. We'll get back to the big game one day.

man all this talk of ravens redskins etc etc.

lets all face it. Redskins, cleveland, Carolina, etc have a very good purpose in the league. It lets fans of better teams watch their team play live cus the tickets are easily available :p

Redskins tickets readily available?

^ I was thinking the same thing. He doesn't live here, so he doesn't know. Despite the poor form, the Skins still have some of the strongest support in all the NFL. It is still the 3rd wealthiest sports franchise in the world, behind Manchester United and the Dallas Cowboys.

I know. I went to watch the broncos get beat by them 2 years ago, and despite the season the skins were having, it was a PITA to find decent tickets.

daisuke149 04-27-2011 09:31 AM

hrmm ive been able to find good tickets fairly easily, but i onyl checked twice when i knew i might be up in that area.

(atm, i mostly look for tickets in TN or Carolina or JAX <--- super easy to get)

I never put much into lists or power rankings. It's all hype.

That goes for Kiper and McShay's six million weekly mock drafts, too. It's all irrelevant.

Not doubting you, but Im surprised that the Skins are wealthier than the Yankees?
