Tonight, I say good bye Tony, I cant risk being hurt by you again. I am sure I will still see you when I am rooting up Dez and Demarcus, but please, for both our sakes, don't say another word. It will make it easier for both of us.

No longer your fan,
Andrew

The only hope for the cowboys now, is too either not lose again, or lose every game from here on out and pick up andrew luck and get rid of romo.

GO COWBOYS!

Being a cowboys fan, it gets harder and harder to watch every week. I've been a long time supporter of Romo but it's just getting sad at this point. We have two monster recievers in Dez and Miles but can't seem to get them the ball anymore. The only thing I look forward to on sundays is setting my fantasy lineup and hoping for a win there lol.

Rooster89 11-02-2011 01:46 PM

I was just focusing more on college ball, but then my school lost two in a row. no more bcs championship. maybe not even a rose bowl. basketball is out, at least i still have my chicago blackhawks who will prolly never let me down, even if they fail because the guys on the team still have fun and are great sports.

The cowboys....enough is enough is enough. I live 20 minutes from tony romo's old high school, but the guy should stop. we have already won too much for andrew luck. unless jerry jones works some of his devil magic that he seemed to have lost in the 90s. I just cant help but wonder what the future of the cowboys franchise is? am i going to watch romo disgrace my beloved cowboys year after year after year until i become as a bitter ex lover to a woman who went lesbian on me, took the kids and the money? Its getting bad. the worst part is, my girlfriend still likes romo cuz he looks "super cute?" so during the games when i start yelling at him, she comes to his defense and then says winning isn't everything. I agree winning isn't everything, but if you don't play to win, why are you playing?

Lemers 11-02-2011 02:06 PM

Winning isn't everything unless you are a professional athlete. That is your performance measure. If you can't win you shouldn't be paid and continue to be backed by the ownership. Romo is protected by Jerry for the sole fact that Jerry decided to give him a huge contract. Jerry won't admit he was wrong. He will just blame everyone else (except Romo)

Couldn't agree more.

Your realism trumps my idealism. I accept that what you say is most likely true. But I still have certain feelings about it....reasonably or not.

I'm a red sox fan and papalbon has gone from among the best closers in baseball to a good closer. My wife has a crush on him. So when I start yelling at the tv for him giving up the tying/losing run she starts to hate on me and says nobodies perfect.

I tell her that he has 1 job to end the game without giving up the tying run.

So I fully believe that these guys making insane amounts of money should be accountable for poor play. As a cowboys fan (I know my dad is from Boston my mom is from Texas) I never trusted Romo as a full time QB and I fully believe that the cowboy will never be able to Hite a credible headcoach as long as Jerry is the owner.

Really over Landry Jones?

Lemers 11-02-2011 10:49 PM

We can argue who should go where in the draft all day long. I just did a quick web search and found Matt Barkley list as the #2 rated QB. Now I'm seeing reports that Luck isn't as good as everyone says. So we'll see what happens during the real draft.

Rooster89 11-02-2011 11:00 PM

Luck has too much publicity to be looked over. its TB syndrome(TeBow). Still, seems the cowboys won't replace romo...for a while. They need a real franchise quarterback, and real head coach, and a real general manager....

And I am white sox fan. and a blackhawks fan...and a bulls fan...and wisconsin badgers fan.

49erZ 11-03-2011 12:13 AM

Luck is not only hype, check his completion pct and red zone ratios...the guy is legit. Cowboys are used to choking by now and have to be rebuilt.

I am a redsox fan and cowboys fan as well lol. When I was real young, my dad only watched football and was a cowboys fan. When I got older and started liking other sports I became a Boston fan, but stuck with the cowboys for football.

Jerry definitely hurts the coaching situation. If he knew when to step back, Bill Parcells would probably still be there. I would really like if Bill Cowher went there.

Lemers 11-03-2011 12:27 AM

Phill Simms hasnt completely bought into Luck yet.

"I think the hype is a little too much," Simms said.* "I feel bad for him in that respect.*I mean, [how's] he going to do to match what they say he can do? There's a lot to him. I think his best quality, by far, is that he's big and strong and he's going to be able to move and run in the NFL. There's no question. I mean, this guy is strong.*The throwing? He manages a game.*I see all that.
"But the one thing I don't see, I just don't see big-time NFL throws.*I don't care what anybody says. I've watched a lot of him. He never takes it and rips it in there.*And you can say what you want but, man, you've got to be able to crease that ball every once in a while. We see it every week in these games. Hey, he can develop it but even in the USC game, you know, he's very careful with it, guides it a lot. That's what I see.*
"There's not a lot of rotation on the ball and there's not a tremendous amount of power. Not that you need to have that power arm.*I'm not saying you've got to have that exclusively but, man, it sure helps when you can do that because there's four or five plays a game it is about arm strength. And sometimes quarterbacks who don't have it, they pass those plays up. Why? Well, they go, 'I don't know if I can make that throw,' so they throw it short. That's why I'm a little more reserved in my judgment than everybody else."

49erZ 11-03-2011 12:41 AM

Simms is pissed his son got beat around by West coast teams, being the contrarian in the slim chance Luck isnt great he's the only one tooting his horn.
