Correct. If the Pats lose, the shirt becomes a wash rag, because people only care about the SB champs. If the Pats win, then you're going to want a SB champ shirt instead, as it will advertise the full extent of their glory.

It always mystifies me why anyone would buy a (Playoff Season, Division Champ, Conference Champ) shirt/hat. They are tacky.

Well if the Pats win, this shirt doesn't become useless. I will get a SB shirt in addition to it. Wearing it then won't mean that we choked in the SB. It will probably be in a different color than the SB shirt too, which is another reason to have it. Mostly though, it was the easiest thing to bet for that game and one that would rub it in the face of the loser appropriately, even if our team didn't win the Super Bowl.

Back in 2008 I didn't really watch football. I was just at a super bowl party with my cousins. They told me to pick a team to root for so I picked the Giants because I'm from NY. I didn't really get into football till 2 years later, when I picked the Patriots as my team. This was after I saw them lose to the Giants and after the season where they lost Tom Brady. I actually didn't even know about all the SBs they won in the early 2000s. At that time, I remember having known that they won one in like 2005. The reason for picking the Patriots was solely because I beat my cousin in Madden for the first time using the Patriots. Stupid reason, I know, but I have stuck with them since then. :roflpuke2:

Also, it seems like the Giants are the team for bandwagoners this offseason :icon17:
