^You're right, they've leap frogged us to 3rd place behind United and Dallas. But still, at 4th place, its remarkable when you consider the team hasn't won the Super Bowl for over 15 years. The team still ranks higher than the Lakers, Patriots and FC Barcelona.

Draft is tonight! Will the Panthers take Cam Newton at Number 1??

Red__Zed 04-28-2011 03:22 PM

Draft should be interesting tonight. A lot more uncertainty than usual.

I feel like they would be silly to do this. Dont they have Jimmy Clausen and Brady Quinn? Not that Im a believer in either of those guys, but I dont think Cam Newton will turn that franchise around with the pieces currently in place. They can use the pick to strengthen a different position.

I think my order would go something like:
1 - Tom Brady
2 - Peyton Manning
3 - Aaron Rodgers
4 - Philip Rivers
5 - Drew Brees
6 - Big Ben
7 - Mike Vick
8 - Matt Ryan
9 - Romo
10 - Kyle Orton

Red__Zed 04-28-2011 03:29 PM

I agree. They'd be idiots to use that pick on him.

I like Arod right now. I think he's about to have an even better season. Not sure on Peyton.

KO in top ten though?

He was a top 5 fantasy QB and had the top rated offense (in yards gained I believe) until about 3-4 games left in the season. My belief is coaching led to the collapse he experienced.

Edit: A collapse that lost me my fantasy league

Fair enough. I mean, I am a big fan of KO, but I think his numbers last year are a result of McD's scheme. If he starts this year, I think we will see more modest numbers.

True, had a hard time thinking of somebody else. I think Eli is overrated based on the SB ring. Flacco is alright, nothing spectacular. Personally I was hoping the Jets would wise up and fire Shotty and replace him with McD at Offensive Coordinator. No reason a team with that much offensive firepower should be producing so few TDs (albeit with a young QB).

A lot of people underestimate him. Part of this is because he's a quiet guy. Part of this is because the Ravens Offensive Line was inconsistent last year due to injuries.

Joe quietly had a great season last year. He's only getting better.

I agree, theyre a defensive team whos offense is generally conservative and run first. Flacco gets honorable mention for my list

payton manning, matt ryan and tony romo are extreeemly over rated.

Payton manning just falls under pressure (from big people chasing him, aka actual pressure in game)

Tony romo always fails under pressure (of a big moment)

Matt Ryan and the falcons have been good all season... all year.. problem is they were never great at any point.. just always... good.

just tell em not to cheat again.

Rooster89 07-30-2011 08:27 PM

Cowboys can count of five fingers... only the 9ers and the steelers can say that.

Theres a reason for the logo on the helmet. Other teams can only reach for the stars!

(I know I know, I was raised in the northernmost suburb of chicago, kenosha wisconsin. So you would think either id be a pack or bears fans. Im chi town for everything cept football.
College is the wisco badgers and pro is big D)

I think this is really a year for romo to either step up or bust.

to be somewhat fair to romo, the dallas coaches have sucked.

and the steelers can actually count 6 :p

Patriots can't count at all, kinda like the kids in the GA school's. They just get by with cheating.

Rooster89 07-30-2011 09:05 PM

^ yeah, i have to admit, the steelers are a dynasty just like the cowboys. and the 9ers. and maybe who knows, but the pats. if the pats don't fall apart and never return...cough cleveland cough they could well earn the dynasty title. until they got caught cheating again. and michael vick pets a dog too rough. and tony gonzales joins the AARP with brett favre. BUT all in all. I love football. I love the cowboys. and i looooooove trash talking other teams :stirthepot:

daisuke149 07-30-2011 09:10 PM

I was at z1 a few weeks back. Guy with a cowboys hat was there, talking a vide of z1 and stuff. So i asked him "how are you gonna go around wearing a cowboys hat and not be ashamed?"

He started on this rant about how some punk gonna talk **** about a team with 5 rings, 5!!! rings. went on and on about the 5 rings. So i responded "Well, i can talk **** about 5 rings cus my teams got 6 bitch!"

hah

awesome day.

Rooster89 07-30-2011 09:18 PM

yeah....all of us cowboys fan always tend to fall back on the five rings thing. i hate to say it, but i do it all the time. usually while waving one hand in a high five motion in front of a eagles, skins, or giants fan.
but srsly I don't like ben worthlessbooger.

NONSENSE! The boyz are back in town baby! I think the eagles have an overpaid roster, and they have alot of talent just like the cowboys did last year. The ONLY difference is they have Andy Reid and his goons coaching...that will bring something Dallas didn't have. While they will be a formidable opponent this year, I think we're going to do very well against them.:happydance:

dennis26 09-05-2011 08:33 AM

As a Giant's fan I would be happy with a split in games aganist Eagles and Dallas.
