It's a shame what's happened to chuck the last few fights. He used to be the man, and I hope he can make it happen.
I always bet on silva.

Chuck's prime started thinning.
But there's a reason why they call him the Ice Man!
As for Silva, he's seriously a beast.
It's a shame he's retiring soon!

That's the way to do it, go out in your prime where everyone will remember you as the best, instead of pull a liddell and end up fighting guys people don't even know.

lol yeah...
I think that's why they called this one Redemption.
These guys have got to prove to everyone why they are called the best in the business!

Silva doesnt have anything to prove, he's the current champ. Liddell has a s-load to prove, and redeem for. Even though I like him, his training has been sloppy the last few years, like he's not taking it serious. I mean, he's the only dude I can think of who seriously fights in MMA with a beer gut.

PS, Cheick Kongo is also fighting, who I think is a pretty good fighter.
Also, a little FF (fun fact) UFC 17 in 1998 was also called redemption, and featured shamrock and horn.
Liddell also fought, but was an undercard, and it didn't even get televised.

LOL!
True that about Liddell. Him and BJ Penn can use a lot of conditioning before they fight!
I started brazilian jiu jitsu and muy thai because of Silva!
I remember being bullied when I was in elementary school by many kids.
Then I picked up boxing in 6th grade and that was the end of being bullied. [:
I want to compete in mma in couple of years!

I was a bj penn fan until thy did that little series of him and GSP training. GSP trained like a frackin animal where bj did some jogging with his buds while throwing up his hang loose sign at everyone.

I've been watching off and on since shamrock. So I guess around 10 years. I've watched video of old stuff (circa 1993), and the sport has definitely changed. When they first started, there were no weight classes. There were just an f load of fighters, and whoever was the last dude was the ultimate fighter. That stuff had fewer rules and was a lot more brutal.

LOL!
Yeah I saw the UFC 1.
My dojo is actually Royce Gracie's Brazilian Jiu Jitsu!
My sensei was the student of the Royce Gracie and his son.
He still goes to brazil during the summer to train there.
It's tough but I love the feeling after you give it your all and when water is your reward!
Awesome.

dont know that much about leites only remember him form one other fight.. but silva is in his prime so i dont think anyone is gonna take him out for a while

liddel should win as shogun barely beat a totally gased mark coleman, if chuck cant take shogun out he needs to hang it up or go fight frank shamrock after his performance last night

I saw that fight too! Royce Gracie versus some dude in the quarterfinals. Gracie wore a gee, which is now against the rules because someone was using his gee to help him pin people.
If I remember right, the other dude tapped in the first minute because he got pinned.

Then Royce did the same thing to Shamrock and followed by Gordeau to win. Quite a pinner!

Indeed!
I want to try the triangle or armbar on someone if I ever get into a fight.
Actually I'd rather push kick them and elbow the **** out of their face
