Thought this was really awesome of JDS to do. This is how a champion should be acting, not getting arrested for a DUI.

JDS is a class act all the way. I hope he smashes Mir.

whats everyones picks?
MAIN CARD (pay-per-view) Champ Junior Dos Santos vs. Frank Mir (for heavyweight title) i got JDS in under 2 rounds Antonio Silva vs. Cain Velasquez cain by KO Dave Herman vs. Roy Nelson i got Roy this i think is giving him a bit of a break after running him though the gauntlet since he won TUF Shane Del Rosario vs. Stipe Miocic not sure on this one Del Rosario looked ok in strikeforce but not sure Lavar Johnson vs. Stefan Struve this one i dunno either johnsons got so momentum coming of the pat barry destruction but struves a tough kid... i sort of am leaning toward struve PRELIMINARY CARD (FX) Diego Brandao vs. Darren Elkins no idea Edson Barboza vs. Jamie Varner Barboza by KO i hate varner and he Barboza had that KO of the year at the RIO PPV C.B. Dollaway vs. Jason "Mayhem" Miller i hope mayhem has the bisping fight might have been the worst professional MMA fighter performance ive ever seen Dan Hardy vs. Duane "Bang" Ludwig hard fight but i got Hardy by KO the skid has to stop at some point |
I'm only gonna comment on the fights I really care about:
JDS vs Mir: JDS wins by KO/TKO Silva vs Velasquez: Velasquez by TKO (Having never seen Silva fight this is just a guess based on Velasquez's skills) Dollaway vs Miller: I hope Mayhem does a lot better than his fight with Bisping. He has a good entertaining personality but he was just terrible in that fight. |
Impressive performances by both Velasquez and JDS setting up what will hopefully more of epic showdown later this year.

Ultimate Fighter finale had some pretty good fights. Justin Lawrence (who was my pick to win the season) had an awesome highlight reel KO. Michael Chiesa had a nice submissoin victory to become the TUF champ. At the beginning of the fight I thought Iaquinta was going to take the fight, but Chiesa ended it by putting him to sleep. Kampmann also had an impressive come from behind victory. I thought Ellenberger was going to put him away in the first round, but those knees from the clinch were viscious.

UFC 147 was filled with amazing fights! I didn't keep track of TUF Brazil, but both finale fights were back and forth wars.
Werdum was impressive against Russow and I want to see him go up against more top level heavyweights to see how good he has gotten. Shane Carwin hasn't fought in a while so a fight against him might be pretty good. Mir and Overeem are some other fights that might be good. Franklin vs Silva was awesome as well. I was hoping Silva would pull out the win in classic Axe Murderer fashion, but it was a great fight nonetheless. |
Also I CAN NOT WAIT until Silva vs Sonnen II. Don't think I've ever been excited this much for a fight before. I think Silva will destroy Sonnen since he (hopefully) won't be fighting with a cracked/bruised rib. He is definitely a lot more motivated to kill Sonnen this time around and a motivated Anderson Silva is impossible to beat.
