White doesn't want to see it. He says your arguement is irrelevant. I agree that he got caught and rematch is needed. If he gets dropped again early in the first round. Guess what don't give him another shot and you made money off him twice. The fans will buy it. Silva better not sleep on Weidman like he did Sonnen the first go around (hurt or not). Weidman wanted it so we will see how he fairs.

Yeah I know and I completely disagree with him on that.

+1 for RIP Weidman.

Evans vs Hendo and Shogun vs Little Nog scheduled for UFC 161 in June. Neither of these are the main event though, which has yet to be announced.....

Main event: Renan Barao vs Eddie Wineland

Overeem is out of his fight with JDS due to injury :(

b1adesofcha0s 03-07-2013 02:21 PM

Looks like it's a minor injury (small quad tear) so they're going to just delay the fight instead of switching it up or cancelling it.

yeah i saw that even though i want to see that fight the draw of that PPV was both heavyweight fights together. cain and bigfoot by itself is weaker. I would have almost rather have seen JDS and mark hunt and still have both big heavyweight fights on the card. but then again mark hunt he is cool he is like the ultimate journeyman but against JDS i think you would see an easy submission victory by Jr so probably not much of a fight

b1adesofcha0s 03-07-2013 02:40 PM

Yeah I think the best option was to delay the fight. We've been waiting too damn long for JDS vs Overeem.

MC you got your wish and JDS vs Hunt is on. Hunt better throw all he has in the first round and go for a finish quickly. His gas tank isn't the best and JDS is a tick better in that category. If he gases by the end of the first JDS will pick him apart. But maybe and just maybe if JDS gets sloppy Hunt will find a way to land one and KO him like he did Struve. I would really like Hunt get a title shot just so he can say he has fought for no matter the outcome.

My take on the fights this weekend.

GSP vs Diaz. Depending on how badly Diaz has really gotten inside GSP's head and sent him to his "dark place" or not will be the deciding factor in this fight. If he gets GSP out of his normal routine and stands and bangs with Diaz, GSP may find himself in trouble. But I don't really see that happening and he will take Diaz down and lay 'n' pray for five rounds with occasional ground 'n' pound. Diaz best bet is to wake up prior to the 5th round like he did with Condit and work for a submission early. GSP by decision. As much as I would like to see Diaz upset GSP I am fine with that. Cuz I want to see Big Rig KO him in the next one.

Hendricks vs Condit. This is an intriguing matchup. Will Condit run away from Hendricks the whole fight? Will Hendricks be able to cut off the ring if he does? Let's face it Condit did not fight in the Diaz battle. While it may have been a smart game plan for him it was less than entertaining. Very disappointed in that match and it took him down a peg or two in my book. Put that same performance on in the Bellator series and Diaz would of been given the decision the same way Doug Marshall was given it last week. But I digress and on to the task at hand. I believe Hendricks is quick enough to cut the cage off. Bad news for Condit. Big Rig by KO.

Ellenberger vs Marquardt. Only two ways I see this fight ending is if Ellenberger finds himself fading in the third round and standing. Marquardt will work his combos and get a TKO. But if he fights smart he will grind out a decision.

GSP will dominate Diaz standing up and on the ground. I think he'll eventually get the win by decision.

Hendricks will win by KO/TKO and hopefully earn a shot at GSP next (unless we see GSP vs Silva).

I hope GSP arm bars Diaz. Knowing Diaz he won't tap. So I hope he breaks it. I hate Diaz with a passion.

:iagree: Or GSP just KO's the fvck out of him. That would be awesome. He did say he wanted to retire Diaz with this fight, maybe we'll see more aggressive striking from GSP.

He plays his part. Without having someone so abrasive it would make it dull entertainment. Having two guys that hate each other step in the cage makes for an exciting fight....hopefully. Sadly his strength is also his downfall which is his outlook on life. Makes him a great competitor in that he is always trying to earn and prove himself. But he acts out and does things that cost him more in the long run. Just as he says he doesn't know what it's like to have sponsors. His attitude turns off the big players in the market place, but also his anxiety wouldn't allow him to ever be that guy.
