Loved watching Silva make Sonnen look like a little bitch. My only question is who are they going to put in front of him next?

Anyone else notice Silva shake hands with Jon Jones right before stepping into the cage?

Also, it's hilarious seeing all the Sonnen fans bitching about the fight on the interwebz. "Oh he grabbed his shorts, that was an illegal knee, blah blah blah". They just can't accept the fact that Silva is a much better fighter and proved it tonight.

in the post fight press conference he said he felt depressed for not finishing the fight in the last round... then dana jumped all over his *** for taking the mic and interviewing tito :rofl2: he apologized but tito seemed sort of pissed too

I thought he left because he thought he lost the fight, like when did it after his fight with Silva.

Just read Bisbing wants a shot at Silva. Thoughts?

Not interested. I heard Rashad Evans threw out a challenge to Silva as well, which I'd much rather see. What I think will happen is the Munoz/Weidman fill fight the winner of Bisping/Stann to see who gets the next title shot. I'd love to see Silva kick Evans' azz though. I'd also like to see a rematch with Belfort, who might have the best chance of catching Silva with a good punch.

Well that card didn't live up to the hype. Kind of hard to with all the hype built around the main event. Sucks to see it end the way it did. Not sure why Sonnen went for the high risk manuever which cost him. But Silva is one of the best ever so I can't say I fully expected him to not win. He capatilizes on his opponents mistakes. Sucks Cruz got hurt and they pulled the Faber fight completely off the card. I think that fight would of been great.

Forrest is crazy and he proved it again. I hate he couldn't finish Tito either.

Le and Cote - didnt expect much from them. I knew it would go to to decision.

Mendes KO'd McKenzie. Saw that coming.

I will catch the next few cards at B Dubs or a local bar. Next one I will pay for is Hendo vs Jones. I put it all on an H bomb connecting. Oh and I hate Bisping....Hope Stann knocks him out just like Hendo did.

Yeah the card itself was pretty disappointing, but it was worth it to me as a Silva fan boy to see him finally shut Sonnen up. Jones vs Hendo will probably be the next fight I pay to see as well.

It wasn't the worst event I've ever seen. I enjoyed watching the Silva fight. I like when fights are finished.

Biggest disappointments were the stand-up fights where they did nothing but dance, such as the one with the "Hulk" guy.

Forrest-Tito had a bizarre ending, and they got gassed, but at least the first round was all-out action.

Agreed on all points. I think it's because the good fights were pretty short which made it seem like the card wasn't as great. There were 2 KOs that lasted less than a minute each while the boring fights dragged on for the full 15.

speedfreek 07-09-2012 03:59 PM

Ive watched for years to know you have to take the good with the bad. It's just with the hype I wanted something spectacular to happen (like Pettis cage-walking on Benson for the TKO finish). I am also sour that Sonnen didn't pull off the upset yet again and this time didn't even get close. Unless they make the Silva vs Jones fight (if Jones gets passed Hendo). Then the only fight I can see being worthwhile is a Belfort rematch....that insane kick finished the fight so soon Belfort never got going. Not saying it couldn't happen again but they say lightening doesn't strike twice.
