I think the Yankees showed real class today.

jpritche 04-16-2013 09:12 PM

My braves have won 10 straight!

Haboob 04-16-2013 09:20 PM

Def. should have had that game today. McCarthy pisses me right off.

That's fine. We'll beat CC tomorrow and take two of three. :D

Very cool seeing everyone wearing 42 today in honor of Jackie.

Does Yankee Stadium not sell out all of the time anymore? It looked like a Dbacks home game last night, very few people there.

No, last year I noticed a lot of sections empty. Plus, I don't think people are buying up their premium seats like before. The NY economy is extremely rough, so businesses and people are keeping cash close to the vest.

****, Friday night, I think there was MAYBE 12,000 people to see the triple play. I blame a lot of that on the miserable weather, though.

Both Mets and Yankee Stadium prices were outreages when they open the new parks. I believe the Mets scale back in prices.

Yankee Stadium I believe did the same but still more expensive than the old stadium and that will drive fans out of the park.

So I'm still absolutely furious about my team.

The Yankees did not deserve to win that game last night. They didn't play well at all, we hit CC like he was a bottom-rotation pitcher, but Miley wasn't pulled soon enough and Sipp just completely failed to do his job.

What's with these no-name white guys always hitting us? Reminds me of 2001 and Nick Johnson.

:shakes head: Sucks when your team fails to close out a game.

That being said, Yankee Stadium is pretty awful. I've never, ever seen so many bloop doubles in my life.

Well first I don't like to stereo-type a player because skin color, white, black, hispanic, asian, purple or green.

BTW, Hafner is not a no-name player, he played many yrs for Clevand and the reason NYY got him is because he can still hit HRs.;)

Welcome to the AL East. The Yanks have been doing this very thing to other teams and pitchers since Murderers Row.

Nava is a hero in Boston today. Red Sox win 7th straight.
