Q: Why do they call it "Golf"?

A: Because "Fück" and "Shït" were already taken.

330yd drive last sunday...gotta love Taylor Made!!

Cmike2780 08-03-2010 08:57 PM

I play about a dozen times a year. Usually score in the mid 80's to 90's. I've hit drives over 300 yards with my Taylormade (R7 CGB driver) as well, but I usually screw up my second shot whenever that happens. I haven't played lately tho.

damn are you serious!!..you need to quit your day job and get on tour..Bubba Watson (longest driver on tour) averages about what you drive...i can get lucky once in a while and bomb one out there but not consistantly:shakes head:

kacz07 08-04-2010 12:29 PM

I play. 4 handicap.

wishihadnav 08-04-2010 12:31 PM

man i just wish i could break 80..

kacz07 08-04-2010 12:51 PM

^I started around 12-13. 26 now. Broke 80 about 3 years in. Played in high school and college. Haven't really gotten much better since, but I only play about 10-15 rounds a year now. It takes a while, but once you have the basics down, you only really shaves strokes by playing smarter and making good decisions around the golf course.

yeah i agree...my putting is really suspect right now..i think i could shave strokes by just avoiding those damn 3 putts:shakes head:

Golf is fantastic. With winter coming, I am not sure what I am going to do. I love being out on the course. The fall is an especially great time to be on the course. The green grass and fall leaves are a perfect combination. What is your favorite season to play?

Wow... Never saw this thread before. I love golf! One of our forum members on here does long drive tournaments. 400+ yrd drives.

One_Quick_Z 02-18-2012 01:45 PM

Best round I shot so far on 9 holes is 45 par was 38 or 39, I have played off and on for 4 years and just started playing more last year when I got some decent clubs....

Picked up a new set of Irons last year Burner 1.0's on sale and a Ping Anser putter......

Then for Christmas got the R-11 driver and burner superfast 4w hybrid...

I just started back up last year like I said and maybe went out 20 times.... plan on going out this year a lot more and actually being in a leauge.... And when I go visit some friends over seas I will play a round at Old Thorns in southern England.

Cant wait for nicer weather :)

I am using Taylormade Penta TPs right now since you can find such good deals on them. Usually I use either Srixon Z Stars or of course Titleist ProVs...

I can't be the only one who found this funny.

Necro-thread!

The Master's is coming up, I can't wait, so I figured we should bring the golf thread back.

Also, found this video today:

Good to see today's young pro's interacting with everyday people and having a good time.

Brutal 370Z 04-05-2013 10:00 AM

Started playing when I was about 10 years old. In my peak I was about a 5, now probably around a 15. Its hard to get out with long winters and law school :-( I'm a Ping guy all the way except for my Cleavland wedges
