:icon17:

Picked up a bag, 3 wood, sandwedge, and the Scotty Cameron Del Mar putter last night. Ordered my 3H, 4H, 5-P, and gap wedge last night.

Bad news is that set isn't quite available with the hybrids until the 13th and won't ship until 12/24... so looks like I won't be playing with new clubs until early January. :(

Would be pretty fun.

My friend is a golf pro so he does a lot of tri-state PGA events. So whenever he has a pro-am and needs a player he lets me know but sadly most are during the week so I barely get to play unless I have vacation days. Those are limited with zdayz and other car events I use days for lol

It is quite nice plus anytime I play with him it's like getting free lessons. Well free with a side of verbal abuse but that's how my friends and I show affection lol

Dude, FP, 100% right on the Scotty Cameron. I have only played 18 holes with it and I love it.

First put ever with it, 40ft, drained it. :icon17:

The new clubs are awesome. Now I just need to work on my consistency. I'm so pumped to play some more!

Went last night and worked on my swing and with my fairway woods/hybrids I think I've fixed my slice. Getting a nice draw now - I just need to remember what I did when I'm out on the course.

My driver on the other hand, still gotta work on that. I tried the same technique and I couldn't quite get the same results consistently.

I don't get how they can be so different?

it's not that the swings are much different between the swings it's your brain messing with you lol it's saying it's completely different when the only big difference is the club length and ball being teed vs not teed. lie and positioning is always different for each shot so that is the other factor when on course.

trust me i ask myself the same thing a lot as well. part that makes me mad is i'll go to the range at a course, kill my driver, get to first tee, shank one right....:shakes head:

Yeah. I gotta some how figure out how to make my brain stfu. I dunno, but it's frustrating.

I could still be swinging too hard too. I try to not do it, but sometimes it just happens.

most people do better when they don't think when they swing.

calm mind and calm hands are a solid way to get a good tempo and swing.

Being genetically predisposed to low brain activity is beneficial to a golfer? :icon14:

No wonder I used to be a decent golfer in high school :icon17:

Ugh, how I wished I played golf in HS. I did recreationaly, but not a lot. I can only imagine how good I'd be if I had all those years of playing experience. :shakes head:
