MLB Umpires SUCK this season!!

The first base umpire in the game between Detroit and Cleveland tonight blew a NO-Hitter by a bad call in the 9th inning. The guy was OUT, no doubt. UNBELIVEABLE!!!!!

This bad call erased a NO-Hitter to pitcher Galarraga and history for the Detroit Tigers.

This season the freaking umpires sucks big time!

They should have reviews for plays like that...

Well I don't even know why Baltimore still has a team, even the Nationals are doing better then them!

Not just a no-hitter but a PERFECT GAME. And the guy was safe by a mile. It was the last out of the game! OMFG!

The umpire now admits that after watching the replay it was a bad call. And no he feels bad that blew a perfect game for the pitcher, Fcktar!

Even if Bud over turns it, it will not be the same. He will miss out on the instant reaction from his teammates and the chear from the crowd. What a shame. Not just a no hitter but a F%CKIN perfect game!

They never overrule. Galarraga showed a lot of class after the game, as did the ump who personally apologized. Umps don't do that.

DETROIT (AP)—Armando Galarraga squeezed the ball in his mitt, stepped on first base with his right foot and was ready to celebrate the first perfect game in Detroit Tigers’ history.

What happened next will be the talk of baseball for the rest of this season and likely a lot longer.

Umpire Jim Joyce emphatically called Cleveland’s Jason Donald(notes) safe and a chorus of groans and boos echoed in Comerica Park.

Then Joyce emphatically said he was wrong!!!!

“It was the biggest call of my career, and I kicked the (stuff) out of it,” Joyce said, looking and sounding distraught as he paced in the umpires’ locker room. “I just cost that kid a perfect game.”

“I thought he beat the throw. I was convinced he beat the throw, until I saw the replay,” he said after the Tigers’ 3-0 win.

It’s rare for an umpire to acknowledge a mistake and, in a sport that still relies on the human eye more than any other sport, it’s certain to prompt a push for Major League Baseball to use increased replays.

As it stands, baseball replays can only be used for questionable home runs. There’s no appealing a judgment call, either by replay or protest. A blown call by first base umpire Don Denkinger helped tilt the 1985 World Series, and followed him throughout his career.

Dude, you should listen to the Bmore sports talk radio around here. The hosts are doing all they can to sound somewhat hopeful, but even then they admit we're terrible.

This year was supposed to be a step forward for the youth. They've looked bad. Other than Markakis, but you can set your watch by him. Oh well, better luck next year. And at least I can start setting up tee times with the O's before the allstar break.

Ugh dont forget about Bill Hohn who threw Roy Oswalt of the Astros out for no reason a few days ago. I was at that game, everyone was like wtf. Glad he got a nice talking to by Bud.
