As much as I like Texas, I am not sure they are going to make top 5 this year.
Overall your list looks pretty good, but Florida will be out of the top 25. :p

TexasFight13 03-12-2010 01:54 PM

No, Florida will definitely be top 15, they had the #1 recruiting class this year and still have alot of REALLY good athletes. Sure they lost alot of great players too, but they won't drop that much, hell, I think they could be top 10 easily at least in the preseason. And Texas will be fine, the defense will be strong and Garrett Gilbert is truly gonna WOW some people. I've seen him play in highschool and he's an absolute machine, a real gunslinger. Plus Texas still has a ton of great receivers even with losing Shipley. I don't know if Texas is a national championship contender, but its definitely possible, and I hope to God it happens! Can't wait for Sept. 4th! HOOK 'EM!

Crazy8 03-24-2010 08:05 PM

Florida's gonna be top five.

True that, my lil bro played against Gilbert in the playoffs 2 years ago and he's probably a future 1st rounder. I see UT finishing top 5 if the defense stays healthy.

Bama will repeat

Hey there,

NCAA Football 11 is out! I get my rosters from GameRosters.com.

Chriz 07-19-2010 09:59 PM

you can get rosters for free elsewhere, never pay for them
anyway ordered my season tickets for UT last week. Il be happy with a 10 win season. I say bama repeats

Red370 07-19-2010 10:44 PM

I dont think Florida is going to have a good year at all, good recruiting class or not, how many of them do you think will start over the seniors/juniors? They lost their whole team at the end of the season, Alabama will take the SEC this year. I have a feeling Ohio State is going to make another run for the championship, just for the simple fact that they are returning alot of the same team from last year, a team that was supposed to lose to Oregon but wound up shutting down Masoli and the rest of the offense.

I'm not expecting a national title this year, but I'd be more than happy with a BCS bowl.

Get rid of Les Miles, went to the Ole Miss game last year :shakes head:

cow 07-20-2010 02:35 PM

I'm giving Les one more season before I write him off. The cute stuff that won us the 2007 title (gambling on plays, etc) is starting to look more & more like not being fully prepared.

If Jared Lee somehow gets to be the starter again, I'm going to ******* shoot myself.

Chriz 07-20-2010 02:42 PM

I see big things for Russell Sheppard, and Jordan Jefferson will be starter with Jarret behind. Do you know that yall already have 2 top 10 commits for next season? Thats impressive

cow 07-20-2010 03:09 PM

Sheppard is officially a tailback (read: wildcat).

& yeah, I'd heard that about the recruits. One of the kids attends the high school I went to. I may actually go to a game this year to check him out-- I haven't cared about my school since I got my diploma.

Kid better not choose Auburn.

Tronchaser 07-20-2010 03:20 PM

Boomer Sooner... OU will be higher than 13th my friend. The stache is back!

I think college football is a joke. How people enjoy watching games that end up at 67-0 is beyond me. No playoffs. Teams going undefeated not making a bowl game. Crazy.

Flame suit on, but college football is a joke.

They also play the game for pride and respect, not $50 million dollar contracts, collegiate sports are the purest form of sport, pro sports are about fame and money, it dillutes the whole purpose of playing the game, but thats just an opinion.

To each their own. I say the same thing about Soccer, bunch of drama queens taking falls, 0-0 ties, it's like watching paint dry. Same with golf. *shrug*

Eh, the Ducks lost some seniors as well as Masoli for his douchebaggery. It remains to be seen if some of the noobs can pull it together and get us into the top 10, I'm not seeing it.

Tronchaser 07-22-2010 09:07 AM

..and I just heard this morning that OU is predicted to win the Big 12 South... Texas at 3 ain't gonna happen!

Ha! No, I didn't hear that from myself.. although I do tell myself that every year! :rofl2:

Big 12 Announces Media Preseason Football Poll - Big 12 Conference - Official Athletic Site

Some dude named Phil Steele has OU ranked #1 preseason if you can believe that.

Phil Steele's Preseason Top 25 Rankings: Oklahoma Is No. 1: Logical or Not? | Bleacher Report

So, while I may tell myself that OU is always number 1.. I'm a bit more realistic about it than most Sooner fans. We'll see how the season plays out and hopefully the Sooners are better than an 8-5 record from last year.

Yeah and the third stringers played the second half. We play Tennessee away next week, that should be a lot more challenging.

Lemers 09-05-2010 04:41 PM

Pushing_Tin 09-05-2010 04:50 PM

Oregon should have moved up with the very lackluster wins from Oklahoma and Florida.

Lemers 09-05-2010 05:01 PM

We will see when the next pole comes out in a few days.

cow 09-05-2010 06:01 PM

I've never been so dissatisfied after a win for my team.

Chriz 09-05-2010 11:06 PM

I nearly had a Heart attack watching LSU
My Longhorns did fairly well. Had some mistakes, but nothing that cant be fixed. I really hoped that TCU would lose. You wouldnt believe how much crap I got from my friends there last year for not being in the championship. Obviously strength of schedule means nothing to them.
