UH....:ugh2:
LSU is just to good this year, Alabama is probably the closet to being able to take them on.

Skeeterbop 11-26-2011 11:54 AM

I agree, so far Alabama is the only one to stay within a TD of LSU and the only team to keep LSU from scoring a TD

Lemers 11-26-2011 05:19 PM

If Alabama had a better kicker then they would have beat LSU.

Skeeterbop 11-26-2011 05:47 PM

they missed what, 3 field goals?

Pushing_Tin 11-26-2011 06:48 PM

Looking more like LSU and Bama for the rematch. Ducks have to beat UCLA next week in our first PAC-12 championship game to go to the Rose Bowl.

Maybe, but they didn't.

Look at it this way-- the teams were even on offense & defense, but LSU's superior special teams play won the game.

kellyefields 11-27-2011 07:38 PM

the real problem here is if you do not pair lsu with bama you are going to have two BCS bowl blowouts because no team out there can match up to these two that we have seen. Not saying that someone could have a great game and beat one of them but looking at what we have seen to date that would be rather unlikely. personally I love it when I can see a SEC team whip another conference school in a bowl game but seeing a blowout game is only good for the first half and then it is time to find something else to watch because it is just sad after that. I say this year lets see another good game with LSU and BAMA in the championship game and all of the other hater conferences can at least say that a SEC team lost in the championship game after 6 years in a row!!!!

Pushing_Tin 12-03-2011 02:57 AM

Okay my Ducks are in. Now we wait to see if we play Michigan State or Wisconsin in the Rose Bowl.

cow 12-03-2011 12:21 PM

Oregon should pee on either of those teams.

Ehh, they have moments of amazing atheltic brilliance and others of complete amateur stupidity. Still far too many penalties and turnovers. Frankly I'm glad we did not get the chance to play for the NC. We aren't there yet. As you know this is the 3rd BCS bowl in a row, wins = zero. :ugh2:

cow 12-03-2011 02:35 PM

Third time will hopefully be the charm!

Pushing_Tin 12-03-2011 10:37 PM

LOL @ Houston, and I can't believe the Sooners are getting crushed!

cow 12-03-2011 10:59 PM

Being as unbiased as I can, I think Tyrann Mathieu should win the Heisman.

Quote:

Mathieu dropped back to receive another punt. About the only thing the Bulldogs managed to do was keep him out of the end zone. He cradled the ball, took off down the center of the field, cut back to his left, stutter-stepped and turned on a burst of speed, basically came to a stop around the Georgia 30, then took off again and was finally dragged down at the 17.

He avoided or broke away from at least eight of the 11 red-clad guys trying to bring him down, a Heisman-worthy play that could be enough to at least get him to New York for the banquet -- if not earn serious consideration for the award as the nation's top player. Certainly, no defensive player has come up with more game-changing plays.

Mathieu has scored four touchdowns this season -- two on returns, two more from his cornerback spot. He's forced six fumbles. He's picked off two passes. He's the leading tackler on one of the nation's top defenses.

Montee ball scores tds! Heisman

Pushing_Tin 12-04-2011 11:15 PM

Ghey, LSU and Bama for a second field goal fest. I think OSU should have gotten a shot at the NC. Fvck the BCS.

theDreamer 12-05-2011 09:44 AM

Oh geez, that was bad for UH.

cow 12-05-2011 11:18 AM

I'd rather have seen Houston in a BCS bowl over Virginia Tech. What a crap resume.

Rooster89 12-05-2011 02:13 PM

The roses are coming back to madison. just saying.

To be serious I think the rose bowl this year is going to be the most exciting bowl game. Lamichal vs Montee. This is going to be one of the best rose bowls. It will be an honor, Ducks.

Rooster89 12-22-2011 10:22 PM

I've always wanted to go to the rose bowl.

cow 12-23-2011 09:00 AM

Same here, though I hear the stadium sucks (all bleachers, & very few entrance-to-inner-bowl portals to the point where one might have to walk over 75 people to get to one's seat).

What's your point? It's a landmark stadium, but by modern standards, it's somewhat "meh."

Rooster89 12-30-2011 04:22 PM

Well I would also love to see the parade and all the other fun stuff that goes with the rose bowl.

A view from our seats. Row 7 on the 45 yard line. Only problem is that CBS put their stupid camera in the way.
