This is why BSU needs to get out of the WAC- they've played two conference games to a combined score of 107-0. I love 'em, but they need to move on to better competition!

For the first time, Oregon is No. 1 in The Associated Press college football poll.

The Ducks climbed one place to the top spot during an off week after previous No. 1 Ohio State lost 31-18 at Wisconsin on Saturday night.

Boise State also moved up one place to No. 2. Oklahoma jumped three spot to No. 3, passing No. 4 TCU. Auburn moved up two spots to fifth.

Ohio State dropped 10 spots to 11th.

Oregon becomes the 43rd team to hold the No. 1 ranking in the AP media poll, which dates to 1936. Ohio State's loss came a week after then-No. 1 Alabama was beaten by South Carolina.

Oregon will try to avoid becoming the third straight No. 1 team to lose when it plays at home against UCLA on Thursday night.

Pushing_Tin 10-19-2010 10:06 PM

Oregon vs UCLA Thursday night on ESPN. Boise State plays Louisiana Tech *snicker* followed by powerhouse Idaho Vandals. SOS is super weak for them.

cow 10-19-2010 11:27 PM

LaTech is a joke, but nearly beat Boise St last year.

Pushing_Tin 10-21-2010 11:27 PM

Dux 60 UCLA 13, ouch.

NEW YORK (AP) -- Cam Newton and Auburn blew by Boise State into first place in the BCS standings.

The unbeaten Tigers (8-0) vaulted from fourth to the top spot Sunday, putting the Southeastern Conference in line for a fifth straight appearance in the national title game.

Oregon (7-0) remained second, which works just fine for the Ducks because if they win out they'll likely play in the BCS title game in Glendale, Ariz., in January.

Boise State (6-0) was still stuck in third place. The Broncos were off last week while Auburn beat LSU 24-17 and Oregon pounded Pac-10 rival UCLA 60-13.

TCU (8-0) was fourth, Michigan State (8-0) fifth and Missouri (7-0) sixth.

NC state pulled out a big win last night to put us back in the ACC race!

Pushing_Tin 10-30-2010 10:52 PM

Oregon beats USC by 21.

Pushing_Tin 10-31-2010 10:11 PM

Oregon #1 bitches. Where the hell did all of you go?

cow 10-31-2010 10:44 PM

You're #1!

/chant

It was a bye week for LSU & I'm in the process of moving, so my thread attendance has been limited.

Push370zzz 10-31-2010 10:49 PM

and the beating on mizzou went just as planned...also glad to finally see a team at #1 that deserves it

Yeah you were right about that one! Lots of games left to play, who knows where Nebraska might end up!

Pushing_Tin 11-06-2010 06:40 PM

Congrats on the win Cow!!

cow 11-06-2010 08:55 PM

Thanks dood. Ditto to you. I was flipping to that game during LSU's commercial breaks.

By the way, what happened to Locker?

He broke a rib during the Oregon State game last week. TCU looks great too, it will be interesting to see how these final weeks shake out.

cow 11-06-2010 11:15 PM

TCU looks great.

I went to their game vs Utah last year-- they seem to have the Utes' number.

It's not looking like Boise St is going to lose. Lame.

:iagree: Missouri is so lame:shakes head: Oregon and Auburn kickin A$$

cow 11-07-2010 07:10 AM

I now need to cheer for Georgia & Alabama to help LSU by beating Auburn.

The "strange bedfellows" part of the season is always amusing.

... Or the NCAA could make them vacate their wins....

How ironic is it that in the year USC lost its title that people were calling to be handed to Auburn, the fake Tigers probably cheated with one of their recruits.

Pushing_Tin 11-07-2010 10:09 PM

LOL @ fake Tigers. Well cow, if things shake out the right way, it could possibly be LSU v Oregon!

metz 11-07-2010 10:28 PM

Im with you Cow, this week im going to be the biggest Georgia fan ever. If things work out then next ill be a big Bama fan, but if Auburn beats Georgia id rather them win out. I dont want to see the SEC get left out.

cow 11-08-2010 07:14 AM

After careful consideration, I wouldn't mind the Faux Tigers winning out & taking the title-- LSU would play in the Sugar Bowl (assuming all went to plan).

cow 11-12-2010 07:53 PM

Mighty UL Monroe up next. I hope LSU finally hangs 40 on someone. It's been too long.

Pushing_Tin 11-13-2010 11:46 PM

Ugh, ugly "win" by Oregon. They really should have lost that game. My fear is that they make it to the BCS and get blown out of the water.

jikhead 11-20-2010 11:46 PM

LSU has a big showdown in my hometown in Little Rock next week with my Hogs. Any of you LSU fans coming in your Z? I could take you for some local BBQ. I doubt I'm going to the game, as I was friend No. 2 on the list with the ONE with tickets!

cow 11-21-2010 01:07 AM

I won't make it.

:-/

Jquad 11-21-2010 02:48 AM

Can't believe Purdue almost beat Mich st.!!:shakes head:

Pushing_Tin 11-26-2010 10:29 PM

Ducks pull it out once again. One more win and we go to the NC.

cow 11-27-2010 12:54 AM

Bye bye, Boise St.

blue660r01 11-27-2010 01:03 AM

Staged game.

Pushing_Tin 11-27-2010 03:53 AM

bahaahahahaaa BSU goes down in flames!

cow 11-27-2010 08:12 PM

LSU lost today-- I'm obviously bummed, but I'm pretty happy with the season; I felt they really overacheived considering how young the team is & are a year away from being a real power again.

I'm really looking forward to next season.
