If VT and OSU lose a few games throughout the season (as VT is on the way of doing), then BSU will still not be in the BSC championship game because of the computer ratings. Their wins against VT and OSU will be less significant at the end of the year.

I'm always conflicted during big out-of-conference games for SEC schools. I want my rivals to lose, but then on the other hand, I want the SEC school to do well to make the conference look good.

Yeah I feel the same way. We hate USC, Arizona, etc but when they play out of conference we want them to win so we get some respect.
