Fresh off the rumour mill:

According to a report published by Italy's Gazetta dello Sport, Alfa Romeo Orlen team manager Frederic Vasseur will replace Mattia Binotto at the lead of Scuderia Ferrari for 2023.
Apparently "Ferrari's never ending string of mishaps, (culminating with the clamorous error of sending Leclerc our on track on intermediates, when all other drivers were already on slicks during qualifications for the Brazilian GP) has finally proved to be too much for John Elkann, and Fred Vasseur was asked to rise up to the occasion of managing the most storied and successful F1 team of all times."

IMHO, Vasseur hasn't exactly shone brightly these past few years either!

Thing I'm not sure about is it Binotto, or a collection of the staff that is the weak link? I mean sure he carries responsibility either way as he influences whether or not movements were to be made.

Look at how they massacred my boy. Can't keep letting Barzini - I mean Binotto - get away with this.

Farewell Seb.

Crazy how time passes. This guy looked up to Schumacher and tried to live the Ferrari dream in his footsteps. All that — a full, illustrious career, has already came and went.

One thing that immediately comes to mind is during his championship years, he was a feature narrator in Gran Turismo 5 on the PS3, with Newey designing a fictional car for the game. One of a few things going on while him and RB were at the top of F1 in a growing social media era.

Despite the sour Brazilian GP, RB is now back on top and having the most dominant season on his exit. Kinda comes full circle despite Seb being on a different team scrapping for points.

Martin Brundle reckons Haas were ‘fed up of Mick Schumacher’s entourage’
Michelle Foster 54 minutes ago

While too many crashes and too few points have been given as the reason for Mick Schumacher’s Haas axing, Martin Brundle reckons the team was also “fed up of Mick’s entourage”.

Pressure was mounting on Schumacher’s shoulders throughout this season, the German struggling to get off the mark after a point-less opening campaign.

While his new team-mate Kevin Magnussen scored freely in the opening few rounds, he didn’t get on the board until Silverstone, the 10th race of the season, before adding more points in Austria. But that’s where it ended.

With each passing race outside the top ten, criticism of the driver began to grow as did Guenther Steiner’s search for a new driver, the team boss not keeping that a secret.

That, though, earned him the ire of Schumacher’s uncle, Ralf using his platform on Sky Deutschland and other German publications to hit back at Steiner for not supporting his driver.

And he wasn’t the only German pundit letting Steiner have it almost every post-race Monday.

Brundle has suggested it might have played a role in the team’s decision to part ways with the German.

“I think the team were fed up of Mick’s entourage and all the pressures that came with that,” Brundle mused to Sky Sports.

“He has been dropped by Ferrari as well, so it’s difficult times for him.”

BBC Sport reporting that the 2023 Chinese GP will be cancelled due to the zero Covid policy adopted in that country.

https://www.bbc.com/sport/formula1/63713326

The reasons quoted were that F1 could not get an exemption, and teams would suffer if members were detained for weeks if they tested positive.

So, that's down to 23 races and it isn't even 2023 yet.

Poor Zhou - won't get a home race again!

Mattia Binotto has stepped down as Team Principal of Scuderia Ferrari F1.
It had to be, although he was never set up for long term success.

Brawn has already publicly refused the job. Rumours are that Horner claims to have been approached for big dollars. I hope they pass over Vasseur - he's not impressed anyone outside of getting some good drivers to Alfa Sauber - but that's not SF's problem.

Brace yourself for the endless memes of "X" to replace Binotto at Ferrari.

This move alone would bring plenty of eyes to the sport. As a Ferrari fan, If you can't beat 'em, throw an ungodly amount of $$$ at their principal strategist and join them!
