Fantastic shots!
Do you happen to have an Alfa amontg them somewhere? Still my favorite livery.

axmea? 11-02-2022 12:36 AM

Sure!

I agree. One of my favs. Same with Aston Martin. The least that I like is Haas' livery. They could do so much but man, Gunther is saving on paint.

All shots on a Nikon Z 9 and Nikon 300mm f/4E PF lens.

Ventruck 11-11-2022 08:32 PM

GRID CAN'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT THE THE MAGMAN!!

Let's go.

DLSTR 11-12-2022 02:59 PM

Ok that was a fun sprint event! Hope we have as good a race tomorrow!

Ventruck 11-13-2022 03:56 PM

That was some race.

Max being a doofus
McLaren being mega douches (esp Danny Ricbutthead took out people's champ K-Mag)
LeClerc had a miracle.
Fernando Godlonso

But overall Merc had themselves a weekend

Max lost a lot of respect from me, reminds me of Michael Schumacher -- win at all costs. Selfish, instead of helping Perez get the points for a 1 / 2 in the championship, pay back for something earlier in the year. (I thought you were world champion) He forgets that some drivers are not going to say ok Max I will get out of the way... Hamilton, not going to do that. (sorry for the rant)

Quote By Max on the Collison with Hamilton
“To be honest, I went round the outside and I immediately felt he was not going to leave space, so I just went for it,” he explained. “He did not leave space, so I knew we were going to get together. It cost him the race win. For me, it gave me 5s. It would not have mattered…for my race because we were just way too slow. But it’s just a shame, I thought we could race quite well together but clearly the intention was not there to race.” If I can't win neither will you...

Other wise a great race with a lot of racing and different strategies.

Mic Schumacher -- think he's done.
Alonso -- amazing how he is driving.
Max -- besides the commits above, with the best car would not expect less.
MB - has it all right, next race will be interesting.

well next week, is the last 2022 race...

:tiphat:

Yup, A-hole of the day was almost sewn up for Ricciardo until the last lap when Max ran away with the title!

And then that comment about Lewis that danegrey quoted above - "I was ahead briefly on the previous turn, but then Lewis passed me and I knew there wasn't going to be any room to go through so I ignored him and crashed into him on purpose because it didn't matter to my race what happened" (paraphrasing a bit here, but that's what he essentially said - on the record, no less). Then he needed his agent in the impromptu team meeting before the press interviews - what, was daddy not there? Marko still sticking pins in his Checo doll?
All I could think of was Abu Dhabi 2021 and that heroic 3-lap defence that Perez put up against Hamilton, killing the Mercedes' tires in the process, which cemented Max's first championship. And there have been other times before and since that Checo played the team game. Little wonder there's a revolving door for Max's team mate!

Other than that, it was a really good race. I don't remember this many passing opportunities at Interlagos in the past. The new cars seem to be doing what they are designed to do.

Some great recovery drives for sure, including Lewis and Max, and Fernando, but Leclerc topped them all - I swear that he ripped that car out of the wall out of sheer anger and willed it back to 4th place. Silly to ask Sainz to forgo his podium for his own points, though. He should earn second if he is to get it at all. Yes, the team screwed him on many occasions (be it strategy, performance, or reliability issues), but that's called motor racing.

Super fast pit stops too.
