Nobody said they have to revert to the non-party-mode for the weekend. They will just tune the car for the maximum that they think it will sustain, for Monza. After this, there are different tracks with different demands.
What I haven't heard, is how many engines each car is allotted this year. With the season length still in flux until only last week, and now 17 races on the calendar (instead of what, 22 or 23 originally planned), there should be a pretty clear picture as to how many PU's they can blow up to finish the year. That's two less races per engine if they go with 3 again. I don't think it would be reasonable to permit only two. So it would seem they can push the engines harder than ever. |

^ I think they still get 3 engines.
Here are some hi res "static" shots of Porsche Formula E and Alpha Romeo F1 cars. It was from an Auto Show here in LA. Hope you like it. Bucket list is to attend at least 4 F1 races in the next couple of years. USGP, Mexico, Singapore or Vietnam, and one European race (Austria/Silverstone/Monza). I have shots of Indy Honda but it was meh. ok, a haas car is ahead of vettel, and its the end of practice 3
Top 5 from Practice 3 Bottas, Carlos Sainz Jr, Lando Norris and Daniel Ricciardo Hamilton is 5th, but looked like he got caught by all the traffic on his last hot lap... qualifying is going to be interesting

So much for restricting the 'party modes' lol - https://www.autosport.com/f1/news/15...-record-f1-lap
Lewis Hamilton claimed pole position for Formula 1's 2020 Italian Grand Prix ahead of Valtteri Bottas, while Carlos Sainz Jr took third with Max Verstappen pushed down to fifth. Sergio Perez ended up fourth, while the Ferrari cars were knocked out across Q2 and Q1, with Charles Leclerc and Sebastian Vettel ending up P13 and P17 respectively. Unlike in 2019, the final runs in Q3 did not feature farcical scenes of the drivers jostling to get space for the optimum tow, but these actions did occur at the end of Q1 - with Vettel caught up. Hamilton was ahead after the first runs in Q3 had been completed, with the two Mercedes cars not bothering with a tow as Bottas ran clear ahead of his team-mate and Hamilton towed the rest of the pack. Bottas had to close a 0.053s gap on the final runs, and although he found time in all three sectors Hamilton ran faster to claim his seventh career pole at the Italian GP - and the fastest lap in F1 history at an average speed of 164mph. The world champion was fractionally slower in the final sector on his last run, but it did not cost him as he wound up ahead of Bottas by 0.069s. Sainz demoted Perez to fourth as the Racing Point driver was the only racer not to set a personal best on his final run in Q3. Verstappen complained that he was "losing time on the straights" even as he ran closer to other cars on his first Q3 run, and although he found time on his last lap he wound up fifth, with Lando Norris sixth in the other McLaren. |

Wow, Formula 1 has the best cars and tracks, but it is seriously the shittiest racing ever. Complete money-driven garbage. You have to wish for rare feats by Max or Pierre to not be bored by the technology/money display that Mercedes puts on every week. NASCAR and Indy has real racing. Something has to change.

wow, there was a race today, once Hamilton was out of the way. It prove to be exciting, and the finish was great..... Wonder about Bottas, heard something of car damage... but then Hamilton showed who he was taking the penalty and getting to 7th...
It was a great race to watch and makes you wonder how it would be Mercedes was not that strong or there... Ferrari low point of the year

No one would have predicted this. It has been years when race podium was absent of MB, Ferrari, and RB all at the same time.

That's because MB is built like no other. Aside from deep talent (engineers, strategists, marketing, leadership, machinists, drivers, to their maintenance people) they have deep pockets. That's what it takes to be a driver's and constructor's champion one race at a time.
