I am a Hamilton fan, however Vettel won the race. The stewards got the race wrong in a major way. Also once again, will someone please take the mic away from Martin Brundle. He has to be the worst I have ever seen. Including all sport.

a very very close call...
Vettel did kinda squeeze Hamilton towards the wall... |

I agree 110%!! I was there. That call was complete bullsh*t and demonstrates what is wrong with F1. Vettel was supposed to somehow maintain control of the car on GRASS, stop the car and wait for Hamilton to pass before re-entering the race track. Idiots!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Now Vettel knows how the New Orleans Saints feel!:shakes head:

Well Vettel didn't get back on the track in a safe manner. So he failed. What erks me about Vettel is he should have had his head down and got a lead of more than 5 seconds. That's what a driver would have done. Instead he was whining like a big old baby. Hell, he made the mistake in the first place. If he wouldn't have messed up he would have won.

Are you saying Vettel had enough speed to increase his lead b more than 5 sec when Ham was able to stay within 3 virtually all day; and had turned up to the max power Toto would give him to make a pass in the last 15 laps?
It was a ******** penalty and disgrace and totally representative for what F1 has become where everything has become more important than drivers and racing. The one opinion I unquestionably respect who I didn't hear speak out on it is Jackie Stewart. |
I can see many people think the stewards ruined Vettel race and also F1.
But the original cause of the incident is the driver's error by Vettel himself. Hamilton didn't force him to run onto the grass, he was all by himself as it happens which he missed the right hander thus has to go straight, got onto the grass. If you look at the replay, he gets back onto the asphalt, gained control of the car when it sits on the middle of the track, then he merges to the right thus squeeze hamilton. His own mistake caused the incident, and he should responsible for the consequence I am not a fan of either of both. |
