Formula-1 2018

I went every year from the late '80s until 2013 or whatever year the new hybrid era started. They sound like crap and really took away much of the excitement.

I went every year from the late '80s until 2013 or whatever year the new hybrid era started. They sound like crap and really took away much of the excitement. My analogy is like hearing Jimi Hendrix play an acoustic guitar. He's still good but much of the fire is gone. After hearing those screaming Ferrari V-12s and later V-10s revving to 19K these new cars just don't have that visceral punch. You could actually feel each gearshift in your gut. Our seats were at the hairpin and the backfires on the downshifts sounded like cannons. I really miss that.
