Damn! Here we go again. Another boring season with Mercedes leading and Lewis winning. F1 is dying a slow and painful death unfortunately.

Probably yes and it wasn’t much more interesting then either. They need to level the playing field or F1 will not survive.

It's the team's responsibility to up their game and take the lead or keep up. Pay to play. RedBull does. Renault has the money. McLaren should be able to.

also don't forget when McLaren dominated one year by winning 15 of 16 races... in 1988 with Honda engines, it's just F1

I think there is a US republican at the Ferrari camp that saw a loop hole in the rules regarding Virtual SC limits not in effect at the pits thus Vettel win!

OK, the first race is in the books. First off the commentators, they had NO chemistry to speak of. 2. Too many times during the race when the yellow flag was out you did not know what lap they were on. 3. During commercials when you had split screen and you had a incident after the commercial was over they would not replay what had happened. 4. Please tell me that Nico Rosberg and the other commentator will NOT be on the pit lane trying to talk during the prerace. I just hope that the network gets things worked out. But for this being the first race of the season, I really do miss the other commentators.

Thoroughly enjoyed the weekend action and race day. With the sound OFF! Kind of annoying not to have any quality commentating. At all.

I also miss P1 (and sometimes even P2) broadcasts without commentators - I enjoyed turning up the volume and just hearing the sounds of the circuit.

Lots of issues on ESPNs part. They went cheap on us. Should have a broadcast crew dedicated for US fans/viewers. AND whoever was on the grid doing interviews was terrible! He struggled to get a hold of people to talk to. Lacked the aggressive nature to capture personalities to speak with.

Keep it. They seem to never have issues. Leave it on if you are watching and you can fill in the gaps as the commercials are played where you are. I have SKY here in Germany so no commercials. I use the link if I travel on a race weekend to places that lack good coverage or have adverts interrupting.

Actually, I just recorded the piped-in fake engine noises from the new Z models and played that in the background on repeat while watching the whole race.

F1 needs a repeat, but not of the Australian bore-fest | PlanetF1 : PlanetF1

Given the aero, I expect a not so exciting race. The heat might add some element of failure/retirements. Proper track in Bahrain. I hope we do have some excitement.

surprised to see mclaren is the slowest renault powered on the grid, let alone verstappen since he crashed out...

on the other hand... both honda powered toro rosso has one in the 5th (after grid penalty for hamilton) and one in the 11th spot.


glad honda finally gets it right, at least speed wise...

now hoping they can finish the race.

Yes that will be a big story for this race. Ferrari appeared to have sent Kimi out at the perfect worst moment and his qualy ruined. Vettel is the #1 and there can be no doubt!

and pretty sure raikonnen's engine will be in sleepy mode in the race with some sh!tty pit strategy thus he'll be never to able to catch vettel.

Today's race was good!! An acutal race.

Dont miss grid girls. I see many women in the real world without paying 200euro's for a seat not near a grid girl.

Got to agree with the others as today was a good race. Now the Pre-race. Ever who the guy is that is doing the grid walk trying to talk to drivers and anyone that will talk to him, Please get rid of this person ASAP. Any one of us could do a much better job than he is doing. To put it nicely, He sucks at this!!! :shakes head:
