Manny Pacquiao-Floyd Mayweather Jr. Fight 'Pretty Much a Done Deal'
Let the games begin
In an interview with GMA television, Pacquiao said, "March 13 is OK." "The difference between Floyd and others I have fought is that Floyd makes a lot of trash talk that should not be imitated by young people," he said. mayweather is all business, I hate his attitude even though he may be the best it just can't stand his cockyness. + I'm pinoy...so I'm bias ...I hope mayweather gives a better fight than he did with marquez, it was totally one sided, and I had pity for him. I would love to see pac-man punch that smile off of mayweather. Win or lose I still go for pacquiao.

floyd by 12 round decision. manny is an awesome fighter and i will never doubt him but floyd has pretty much never been substantially hurt in any of his fights..he takes no risks and therefore no damage... so i dont see manny wearing him down physically and manny isnt a disciplined enough fighter to out point floyd round for round. i dont think floyd will win as easy as marquez because he will have to survive some weird angled flurries early from manny but.. his speed and defense is unmatched .. im calling by round 4-5 he controls the entire pace of the fight from there on out im excited about this fight but in the back of my mind i think it will go exactly like i called above and not be quite the fireworks we are hoping for
this is one of the last great boxing events for a long time, there is nothing on the horizon after this Last edited by MC; 12-05-2009 at 06:02 AM. |

Pac-man in 8, Floyd has a defensive technique Pacquiauo will find a way around it and knock him out similar to his TKO of Cotto.

btw I believe this fight is best served being held in the new Cowboys Stadium, and I don't say that because I'm a die hard Cowboys fan and think Jerry Jones is one cool dude.

or not
LAS VEGAS (AP) The promoter for Manny Pacquiao says a fight against Floyd Mayweather Jr. will not happen unless Mayweather's camp drops its insistence for Olympic-style blood testing. Bob Arum says if that doesn't happen by Thursday, the proposed March 13 fight that could be the richest ever in boxing is over. Arum accused Mayweather's camp of raising the issue not because they were worried about Pacquiao taking performance-enhancing substances, but because Mayweather never wanted to fight in the first place. Arum said Wednesday that Pacquiao would agree to the same testing that football and baseball players undergo but not for random tests by the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency. He said Pacquiao would look for another opponent to fight March 13. |

I caught a glimpse of this story on ESPN and I love it how they portray Pacquiao like he's the one dodging the fight by dodging the blood test. Instead getting his blood drawn a day before the fight due to superstitious reasons, Pacquiao is willing to get his blood drawn a month prior to the fight or immediately after the fight, but I guess that's not good enough for Mayweather's party.

i assume floyd would have to do the same thing the day of the fight right?
i see what your saying about them potraying paq a certain way..its like if he says no then he is hiding something if they end up not doing it this way and paq wins it leaves a doubt in peoples minds to if paq was using something or not.... kind of like how floyd always brings up allegation about mosely and roids in the past incase they ever fight Last edited by MC; 12-23-2009 at 03:45 PM. |

step your game up and if he's got nothing to hide, take the blood test 48 hrs before the fight. this goes for floyd and pacman.

I keep telling myself that it won't go this way but in the back of my mind I still feel it will, I just don't want to believe it. Mayweather is going to be overweight again for this fight anyways. Paying the fine is a small price to pay for keeping his undefeated image so I could see that easily happening also. I think Floyd still has a little speed on Pacman(not much) but enough to keep Floyd in control. Expect Floyd to be leading with the right and letting Manny come in with a jab or a 1-2 and using his shoulder to block the jab and counter with an upper cut. I want Pacqiao to win so..GL MANNY ! P.S. Floyd really pisses me off the way he uses his forearms and **** to block and uses his elbows to keep people off him. Don't think that should be allowed. |
