As Vettel usually is on the starts. What's this new clutch set up they were talking about that will make good starts even harder?

Its software change restricting what the driver does. Now its more driver and less 'setup' etc on the start. More feel and less set.

Not going to spoil things for people who haven't seen the race yet. I'll just say it has proved to be very interesting. A good start to what should prove to be an interesting season.

hopefully the other ferrari can give some more challenge in next race.

+1 very gutted for that. I want him on track and beating Verstappen and challenging for wins. Technically they have some sorting to get done.

Finally a race! Was a little surprised at some of the tire choices after the pit stop, would have thought more people staying on the ultra or super softs.

I'm a little concerned with lack of overtaking. The Ferrari pass in the pits reminds me too much of the Schumacher era when nothing ever happened on track. Drivers were warning before the season that it would be even harder to follow closely with this new generation of cars and it looks like they were right. They still sound like crap. I'm glad I was going to Grand Prix when you still needed ear plugs because I don't think we will ever hear the V-12 shriek again.

Exactly ayrton. This race showed basically no close following much less on track passing. Remarkable how the people running this show screw up so badly. They think that faster cars and bigger tires will satisfy the fans. It will on the truck forums for sure.

But we want racing.

Edit: never heard the 12s but have sat on the Start-Finish line at Silverstone when we had V10s at 18,000 rpm. Impossible to describe. We removed our ear protection to best experience it!

Great result. Some confidence shaken at Mercedes. Give them something to figure out.

Still the first race of the season, teams have bugs to work out!!

Fantastic sound wasn't it? I went to the Canadian Grand Prix every year since 1988 up until the new hybrid cars came out a couple years ago. I went to the first one with the new engines and haven't been back to a Grand Prix since. It is missing much of the excitement with the toned down engines. Kind of like hearing Jimi Hendrix playing acoustic guitar....good, but not nearly as exciting as electric.
