Official NBA 09-10 Season Thread

On a second thought, I should rename this thread to "Official LA Lakers 09-10 Season Championship Repeat Thread." :D

All jokes aside, anyone else pumped for the upcoming season? Definitely going to be an exciting season since so many championship contending teams such as Boston, San Antonio, Phoenix, etc have returned this season in better health and a better roster.

Let's go Blazers! *clap clap clapclapclap*

Although I'm still not sure what to make of B. Roy meshing with Andre Miller...so far it's been kind of rough, but it's far too early in the season to make judgment calls.

But my initial impression: can you say TRADE BAIT?!

zman1910 11-09-2009 01:44 PM

I can't believe Boston has a potential All Star lineup of starters. I think they are definitely the team to beat. That's probably the only team LA cannot beat.

I am a Lebron fan so I'll be rooting for the Cavs. I think despite what everyone is saying and how they started out.....they will be the surprise near the end of the season. I also think Danny Ferry has another trade up his sleeve and it'll happen closer to the trade deadline.

I wouldn't count on LA winning again if they go up against the Celtics. It's almost ridiculous how many weapons they have. Their bench is pretty damn good too.

Well it only takes one those brittle body to succumb to an injury and it's GL next year. :D

PHX v LAL tonight! Curious to see how the Lakers will handle a loooong vacation (considering NBA schedules) and a ridiculous Suns team that's firing on all cylinders. Steve Nash clearly has MVP-esque talents still left in him, J-Rich is actually shooting the lights out, and Amar'e surprisingly has not disappointed.

Gasol needs to come back soon...but not too soon lol.

Anybody watching Portland? Oden is finally living up to the hype...sorta :p

arcticreaver 12-17-2009 04:53 PM

kobe with the game winner AGAIN!!!

molamann 12-17-2009 05:34 PM

I have to agree with PJ yesterday. Kobe could've spared the team about 15 minutes of their lives if Kobe would've just made it the buzzer during regulation. :D

could've saved me from having to clean up the mess i made when i jumped up and splattered dinner all over the floor -_-

wishihadnav 12-17-2009 06:25 PM

we'll let boston and orlando slug it out in the east...LAKERS will walk over either of these two...go LA!

jim rome's quote on kobe's shot v. the bucks - "Memo to the Milwaukee Bucks: 'Kobe Bryant is real, real comfortable taking the big shot.' ...Do you really want to give Kobe Bryant a 2nd opportunity with exactly the same look that he missed minutes earlier?"
