Not much I can do to help here, But I've Pm'd Z1/John to see "IF" there's anything they can do to help!

I personally wouldn't hold my breath under these circumstances. imo :ugh2:

Thank you Trips I appreciate your help. Just want my brakes on already!

I completely agree with you. Im concerned because a few people on here have been advised by z1 to upgrade the lines. Ive spoken to them many times about this and no one has ever mentioned to me that people have problems with the bolts. They make it seem like they never heard of this issue before. If they would have just said the first time i called "yea, a lot of people have this problem, if you get the ss brake lines this will help" I would have saved a lot of time money and effort.

I would like to just be clear and say that Z1 never recommended that I upgrade my brake lines to SS. I was in the market for SS brake lines and asked them some questions regarding the premium vs non-premium versions they sell. They were very honest and even recommended the less expensive, non-premium version because of those troublesome banjo bolts.

Too bad they didn't mention this you the first time. Though, I would be hesitant to blame them too much for that. You bought the whole Akebono upgrade, so their support concerns would be more along the lines of 'will your wheels clear the new calipers' and such. The banjo bolts are a known problem for many that have worked on them. If you had asked Z1 about SS lines specifically, I expect they would have steered you away from them.

Regardless, I hope you get everything sorted out and get those beautiful calipers installed asap :tiphat: :driving:

If i recall, when i ordered the whole kit i asked them if i should get brake lines or could i use stock? They said if ur gonna use stock you would need special banjo bolts, so i asked if its recommended. I remember them telling me id be fine with the banjo bolts. Whatever i dont blame them for not recommending it, i guess i should have done my research. But i dont like how they act like they never heard of any problems with the bolts. Anyways thanks for the feed back hopefully i get them on soon, ill be sure to post pics

Unfortunate man. But yeah. A little research on your part would have prepared you, at least a little, for what you encountered. The issues I read about on this forum were part of the reason it was several years before I purchased some :twocents:

when you order new ones, tell them I will take care of the repowdercoating at no charge for you. (I do their powdercoating, and coated those for you)

Not a bad site for your Z needs but The last two purchases from them havnt been so good for me, first they ran outv stock on a part (understandsable, took about 3weeks to recive) and recently I've ordered a Paint pen from them and I have been waiting about a month and a half to recive it... Alittle disappointed.

DEpointfive0 08-09-2015 07:35 PM

Give them a call, see what's up

I have! They've told me they should be in stock in a week or 2 about 3 weeks ago. Still no confirmation email, hoping they receive them soon! Lol :ugh2:

Ive had nothing but great experiences with them. Always answered any questions i had and parts always arrived as promised. I do work at a dealership and know first hand that sometimes getting oem stuff is delayed and delayed over and over again. Thats just the nature of the beast.

I have dealt with John, over the phone, a couple times and I have been more than pleased. Very helpful and great customer service. I purchased my rotors, lines, fluid, and pads from them on my brake upgrade and received the package from GA to my door in AR (that stands for Arkansas, not Arizona FYI) in a matter of 2 days. Anytime I have another purchase, I will definitely check to see if Z1 has it first to bring my business back to them.

Unfortunately I have a bad experience too. I've purchased a lot of parts from Z1 for my build engine and others engines. About 4 weeks ago I've purchased a lot of stuff but the conrod I received from Z1 was damaged. You can see it on the pictures, those conrods are useless. After 4 weeks of waiting I'm still with those useless parts and Z1 has done nothing to replace it. My 3 or 4 last emails are still without any response from them. I thought they gonna replace them but after couple weeks of waiting my patience is at the limit. Could you please help me with that issue John@Z1 ? I've started to resolving this issue with Shanna but she stoped responding on my emails... :(

I've only ordered small parts and some fluids from Z1, but no issues with any of that.

If we could only get some overflow hoses for the 2012+ :stirthepot: :yum:

call call call

emails are easy to blow off. It is a shame that MOST companies take emails like they are unimportant but its how it seems to go all the time.

If you call and dont get any where, call more then once a day and call every day.

Iv never gotten great feedback from any company that Iv only emailed, since 2006. Vivid racing, RavSpec, B2auto, Z1motorsports, outcast garage and a good 4-5 more companies that no longer exist. They love to take money but dont stay very vigilant on email response. Not saying they dont respond but its obvious they are like "meh, when I feel like it Ill email back"

When I call, sh*t gets figured out REAL quick and if they do the ol' "Ill see what I can do, Ill call you back this afternoon" You call back in the afternoon because theres a good chance they will NOT call you the same day. They already got your money so fixing a problem or giving refunds doesnt happen with a snap of a finger, even though it CAN.
----------------------------------------------------------

As for Z1 products...Iv ordered a few things from them, stock parts for my G35. I ordered their z-tube and it fits like utter garbage and when I called, the guy over the phone was an a$$hole acting like I was retarded. Having installed well over a dozen intakes it even more insulting. He was dismissive and acted like a customer call was a burden. I do wish I got his name.

Volk Z 04-01-2018 08:31 PM

Same here Z1 is fantastic. I had one slight issue when I sent some thing back for a return and I didn't get refunded and they investigated and ran the return... so all in all no probs that are to complain about

I just read through this entire post trying to figure out how I missed this then I looked at the date.
