GCZC March 16 Meeting

Attachment 65247 At the Mississippi Welcome Center, yes the Stang is a bona fide member of the club. He has a 350 but it is all set up for the track
Attachment 65245 Hog Heaven's parking lot Attachment 65246 Hog Heaven's parking lot Our Meeting yesterday was an huge success. We had 16 attendees, two new members, and 10 Z's at Hog Heaven in Mississippi. The weather cooperated perfectly, and the cruise was enjoyed by all, with some spirited driving on the interstate. All participants drove responsibly and patiently though when traffic dictated it. Hog Heaven on the beach was a great dining place. Service was a little slow, but I think with 16 persons descending on them at one time overwhelmed them a little. The meeting stressed the following: 1. Treasurer's report: Funds are needed at this time so we can finalize filing for our Non-Profit Status, and then we can open up a Club Checking account. To do this, we will be holding a 50/50 raffle at LeBlanc Nissan, as well as setting up a booth to greet new (and existing) Z'ers and encourage them to join the club 2. All members received a ZCCA sticker as we are now officially part of the Z Car Club Association. 3. Events: Our next huge event is LeBlanc Nissan. LeBlanc Nissan in Gonzalez puts on a first rate event, providing food, drinks, DJ/Live Music, Tee-Shirts, Door Prizes as well as prizes for the best Z's in the show. Other clubs will also be attending: members of the VQ Crew and Louisiana Z Club will be there as well. 4. Future events, during the summer months, possibly a Brewery Tour in Baton Rouge, and then during the cooler months later in the year (Sept/Oct) an event at NOLA motorsports. 5. Our webpage has had some additional features added recently. We now have an applications page as well as an Events Page. 6. Our Facebook Page will be more closely monitored and foul language or derogatory Posts will be scrubbed immediately and the member blocked. Fair warning has been given. Our biggest focus at the moment is to increase our membership and to raise funds so we can meet our expenses. I'd like to encourage everyone on this Forum to consider becoming a Member, with the spouses/Significant others becoming Associate Members. We also have a need for a Club Secretary at this time, if anyone has the skills and desire to participate in our organization, please let us know! Next event is the St Jude Poker Run in Covington on March 23rd. Please see First Post of this thread for further information on participating in this very worthy event. And then, April 20th at LeBlanc Nissan... :tiphat: |
How I wish we could have been there. I know excuses are like a$$holes, but we are just slammed with preparing to build our new house. It seems like all our spare time is dedicated to that lately. We will make it one day.

Good luck on the house, however. We do understand there are priorities in people's lives. Hope to see you at the LeBlanc Nissan Event on April 20th though. That is a big one, and right here in our backyard! |

Okee dokee, althought we have not had anymore members join:shakes head:, I am going to pretend we are still going to grow. With that in mind I have beat the bushes and started to make it rain for the Leblanc car show. We have big banner and signage, GCZC stickers, I hit Meguiars up for some sponsorship and got a big box of leather wipe packets. Thanks Meguiars.
Of course Leblanc is going to kick it up a notch also. So lets make sure we show up in force for the show. Paul, take these pics and info and post it where you will.Attachment 66390 Attachment 66391 Attachment 66392Harold |
