What happened at that meet?

Oh nothing exciting... literally. There was like 3 Corvettes and a really nice 911 GT2. The C&C in NOLA a few months ago was like a Ferrari haven, it was awesome.

The twin peaks one just wasn't anything special.

That's because the Ferrari's were all out there the night before! Someone on the C&C crew was not apparently aware there was a Ferrari meet the night before... yeah, it was a downer, but hey, as far as I am concerned, I enjoyed the cruise there and the company of the Z crew that showed up... :hello:

We are up to (4) Z's so far:

Myself (I'll be staying the night over in Lafayette)
Bucketman
Plunkett (350Z)
w0rM

EDIT: I just received a suggested route that takes us through some twisty roads at the Junction of I-10 and Grosse Tete - from the map it looks like Hwy 411 or Hwy 77/977... about a half hour of twisty winding roads :driving:

UPDATE: I booked a hotel room in Lafayette at the Hilton - Executive King suite for $115 for the night. Booked it through Hotels.com, they had the best rate. TIMES: I expect to be leaving from Covington around Noon to meet up with the guys in Baton Rouge about 1'ish. Best place to meet in BR appears to be the Target off of I-12 (North side of I-12) on Siegen Lane.

w0rM: Want to drive up to Covington and meet up with me here then cruise on to BR pick up the additional Z's there? Or you want to head on over to Siegen Lane (It'll be a short back track on I-12 from the I-10/I-12 merge). Let me know what works for you.

I'll probably just hookup with you in BR. There's actually a chance I try to have my new exhaust installed that morning so I'm not sure if I'll be able to leave early enough to meet you guys in Covington.

PS Target is probably the perfect place to meet up in BR. Access to the interstate is super easy and they have a huge parking lot.

Cool! That works! Looking forward to meeting you in person.

Not yet... I'm hoping no later than Thursday. Would you be available to hookup during the week after work hours next week?

Paul, Are yoou saying you want to get to Lafayette around 2 or 3 pm. The car show doesn't start till 6pm. It is barely an hour from BR to Laf. Even with running some roads we will be there way early. Just wondering how your brain is decoding things. Now if some Laf peeps have any ideas and something to do!?!?!?!?!?!
Also am a little confused about the target location. Target off of I-12 is Millerville. Siegen Target, that is I-10. Either is fine for me just want to know which one.

w0rM 07-23-2012 09:47 PM

I'm pretty sure he's talking about the one on Millerville.

I figure if we leave Covington at 1pm, we'll be in BR by 2pm. Usually we hang around the Target for a while (Millerville is correct - I misread the Google Maps legend), so if we leave at say 2:30 - 3pm, we'll be in Lafayette around 4pm, or a little after due to our little planned detour. Stop at a Starbucks get some coffee, then head over to the C&C to get a good parking area, get some eats, and watch other cars roll in. Just a no rush deal. If we need to push it back by another hour, I don't think it'll be a big deal at all...

w0rM 07-24-2012 12:47 PM

Works for me!

bucketman 07-27-2012 09:45 PM

Yep I'll be at the Target around 2ish. I think the wife may be coming with me! Shocker!
