Company car registration

Does anyone know how registering a car you're buying from a private seller as a company car works? Google isn't much help, just gives me results on insurance.

Basically ensure you have a deed of sale from DMV indicating that it's your company buying it and not under your name so that the registration will just follow through. If you are not authorized to make company purchases, then there's nothing you can do.

Ah ok, well in the past when I bought/sold a car private party, I just typed out my own bill of sale. If buying under a company would I need to use the DMV's official form?

I would have someone else chime in, but I never heard of selling either dealership or private without having a DMV form not getting involved somewhere in between. Even if it's gifted, you still declare it to them. If you own your company, then I guess just putting your name is fine. Are you doing this as a tax write-off?

Well of course I had to sign off pink slips and what not, my own typed bill o sale is essentially states the same thing as the dmv's form saying how much it was sold for, who the buyer/seller is etc.

No not doing it for a tax write off haha, it's really going to be used as a company car (not my 370). I just wanted to see if there were any special forms needed, google wasn't helpful at all.
