Beware of Kearny Mesa Mossy Nissan San Diego
 

They tried to sell me Ester oil at $21 per quart today and told me that the manual versions of the car take different engine oil than the automatics. Don't go here for service or parts or at all, the Poway stearlership is a bit better. Nick over there sold me the oil at $12 per quart. Bunch of stupid crooks.

Thanks for the heads up. Related to that line of scamming in Kearny Mesa: my wife took her car to the Honda dealer in Kearny Mesa once...she drives an 10 year old Accord...they charged her $80 for a dyno oil/filter change and tire rotation. I was so pissed at them when she came home and told me. Unfortunately, that's when I learned that she had never taken her car in for a service by herself before. Needless to say we will never go there again.

I have found both the Nissan and Honda dealers in Escondido to be very good. Worth the extra drive north IMO.
