Looking for a good Powder coater in the OC area

Anyone know a good powder coating shop in orange county? I want to get my exhaust mufflers redone in gloss black. Read through this section but didn't see any info, if I missed it sorry. Thanks in advance!:tiphat:

Hey David, wouldn't the heat cause discoloration or degrade the pc finish at some point? Just a thought bro.

Yea that's what I thought too. But My ark cannisters was powder coated gloss black by the previous owner and it's been fine so far, however, at the end of the tips where they taped off to keep the original burnt tips are flaking and chipping some so I want to just redo just the tips. I Called up Primo powder coating earlier today and was told they do exhausts and other high temp engine parts on a regular basis and it's all in the prep. Im scheduled to have it done sometime this week.

^^ cool. Let the rest of us know how it turns out.

Sure. They said the normal turn around time is about 4 days, so....if you guys come across a Z running around muffler-less, you know it is :rofl2:

+1 on primo powder coating...just look at their reviews on yelp, its as good as it gets. I havent had their services yet but I am thinking about getting my wheels done at primo sometime soon, Dan was very helpful over the phone and was very friendly. Price isnt the cheapest around though, but you will get what you paid for.

on the other hand if you're looking for value and are okay with 90% quality...I would recommend cte powdercoating in riverside. I had a previous set of wheels done for $40 each!

Sorry forgot to update. I got my exhaust back from Primo a couple of weeks ago. They did an excellent job on the Ark mufflers. After two weeks of driving there are no signs of chipping or flaking like before, and I do drive through a few areas with road construction that kick up rocks and debris under the car. It costs $300 for ceramic powder coating both mufflers. I dropped them off Wednesday afternoon and they were ready for me to pick up Friday morning. It was somewhat pricey but they did really quality work and I'm happy with the result. I might take my oem wheels back for them later to do another color.

nice, i went to primo for my rims. its almost an hr drive from me but it was worth it

Do you mind sharing how much they charge per wheel? I'm sure they're probably at the higher end but they do very quality work. I'm looking to possible redo my wheels soon.

I took this shot the other day. It's tough to see the tips and muffler, but you can definitely hear it in person.
