No where anymore... You used to find 76's with 92

Now if you want 100, SoCal 100 Octane pump gas - List of locations - 6speedonline.com Forums

Just realize that to get lets say 93, you'll be buying a lot of 100

Typically 91 octane is available at the top tier gas stations like Union 76, Chevron, and Shell.

Thats what I fill up with

Here's an article I found that explains the reasoning behind the lower 91 octane only availability

On the west coast of the US, why is 91 the highest octane rating for g - Ask Community

well at least now i know why i dont see those MTBE warnings on the outside of the gas pumps anymore lol...kinda funny though that if the "leaking into the water supply" claim is true, why did the rest of the country not adopt the non-MTBE lower octane mix?

Nope, that's why I was asking. Can't find any.

The articles explain it. Thanks. The search is over so I'll be stuck with 91 in CA.

Axmea are you tuned for 100? Are you tuned at all? You buy it where there are Ferraris (Brentwood) that need to gas up, or, preferably, at a track, where you can use it: you really should stop by and park softly sometime... (the tracks, not Brentwood) with all those fantastic mods!

Yeah, it's 3.65-3.80 in Houston for 93, lol

(This is HIGHLY paraphrased so you just get the gist of it)

And someone explained the octane reason in CA very well once.
It said that when gas is refined there is a "finite amount of octane" essentially.
The example is that in the South, or even the North, like Michigan, there are sooooooooo many good'ol buys that use 87 on their trucks that there is left over octane for 93 because let's say 87 sells 20:1
Where in CA, everyone and their mother has a Lexus that requires 91 or higher, so there isn't any way they can produce any higher without also producing gas that's REALLY low octane, like 85, also in CA, the sale rate of 87 to 91 is like 3:2

Hell, the rednecks here are sooooo redneck that at the border before El Paso, gas stations didn't have 91!!! It was 85, 87, 89, and when I drove through the first time I had to go to 4 gas stations in New Mexico to get 91, the highest they carried was 90.

Car is neither tuned nor set for track. Suspension is iffy and ready for a change so track is out of the question. I've been to Brentwood and have not seen one yet.

Brentwood Union 76 at San Vic and Bundy. What's iffy about your suspension?

Getting too mushy for my liking. Needs a coilover set up and sway bar kit. lowered on H&R's last Sept on stock shocks. Shocks need to be replaced.
