I'm reviving this thread because with the holidays quickly approaching I think we all need some alone-time to look forward to. On my last trip to Palomar I deviated from my planned route south on the 79 from Julian and swung a left on the "Sunrise Hwy" route S1. Relatively empty on the weekend full of fast sweepers and a nice view--mountain forests to the west and desert plateau cliffs to the east. Highly recommend for a relaxed less technical drive.

Finally made it out to CA-33 heading north out of Ojai this weekend. It's a great road to nowhere, but i probably won't go again in the winter--it doesn't look like it gets much cleaning and all the dirt is a bit intimidating.

I went to Google maps and counted corners after I was done at Latigo. It was a great drive.

Ortega Highway 74 and Santiago/Trabuco Canyon are pretty much it. Theres carbon canyon that goes from Brea to Chino Hills also, but its really short

Those are some pretty technical roads. Third video, guy in the white Z is a crash waiting to happen @2:20. If you can't stay in your lane slow down. What if there was oncoming traffic????

It's not about keeping close to the guy in front but rather staying in control of your own vehicle. There will always be someone faster, more skilled.

When I used to lead motorbike rides we had some riders that couldn't ride their own ride. Usually ended up crashing.
