Sothern California Body shop recommendation.

Was hoping I could get a recommendation for a body shop in Socal area (preferably Inland Empire area) but L.A. area would probably be ok too.

I have damage from a hit and run on my driver side fender. Trying to find out how much it would be to replace the fender with new one.

My insurance deductible is $500 so if I could get it done under $750 I am thinking of just going that route instead of bothering with insurance. As far as I can tell the actual part (63101) can be had for under $250 but obviously paint + installation is going to probably double that.

The are several threads in the socal section for topics like this. You should be able to find your answers there.

Thanks for the link. Although a lot of those seem for generic work. I know a lot less places do body work and usually the ones that are good are primarily body work so that is why I was asking in here. I will check out some of the places in that thread though.

Said it in the SoCal thread and will say it again here.

Auto Explosion in Gardena. They only do body work. They have a HUGE portfolio of show cars. They have a waiting room filled with trophies from shows that they've won.

Once you come up with a list and then Yelp it or Angie's list it. Lot's of great shops in Ontario/Rancho Cucamonga area. As with any car with 3 stage paint, getting a perfect paint match is the key.

Another idea is while you are at it, see if you can get Fly1Motorsports or AeroJacket a call for a set of vented FRP fenders for the same cost.

I wouldn't go the route of paying out of pocket if I were you. Thats what we all pay for montly. If I added up my insurance from the past ten yrs of driving i've given the insurance company close to 30k. Like I said let them pay for it. Also might I reccomend a buisness out here in moreno vally/riverside are called International Auto Crafters. They did an amazing job when I was victimized by a aluminum pole in the 91 fwy. front bumper had to be replaced, they fixed the hood and blended the fenders. Car looks amazing. definitely a 5* place to go.

You guys want the best shop?

Here it is, They've worked on my Mercedes, GTO, and a Corvette.

They are the best of the best, and the price is really good too.

They have a huge shop, and everything comes with life time warranty.
