Wife just got attacked by some road rage a$$hole!!

Up in Los Angeles heading Westbound on Wilshire Blvd just a short time ago! Some douchebag in a black Mercedes E300 with Fletcher Jones paper plates attached was behind her at a stop light. Apparently she was a little slow getting on the gas when the light goes green so this idiot lost his sh!t. first he goes around her with all sorts of friendly gestures which my wife apparently ignores then proceeds to cut her off not once, but three times trying to run her off the road. Well on the third go around my wife lays into the horn pretty potent like and I guess that did it.

He slams on the brakes right in front of her blocking her car between his and the cars directly behind her. Tight in the middle of a busy boulevard mind you. He jumps out of his car and starts threatening to KILL HER all while trying to break the windows with his hands trying to get in at her! She had the sense to make sure the doors were locked and called 911. At that point, he saw that she was on the phone and jumped back into his car and fled but not before breaking the side mirror. She started to follow but the 911 operator told her any accidents would be her fault should one occur under those conditions.

Anyway, white guy, late 20's early 30's, brown hair, short with medium build and a possible lip piercing. It's a long shot but if this sounds familiar to anyone I would just be tickled to hear about it. She stuck around and filed a police report but I'm not holding my breath as it's probably not high on their radar as things go.

Needless to say, if I were there it would have been a different outcome

Wow, I'm glad she's Ok in the sense she wasn't hurt.

But what a piece of Shit of a Guy really?? :shakes head:

threeseventy 03-15-2012 06:56 PM

I had a psycho throwing nuts and bolts out of an F150 at me 10 years ago @ Wilshire and Sepulveda. The Santa Monica cops will take it seriously, and can check with FJ motorcars on purchases matching that description. I couldn't pick the guy out of their fuzzy, 6-picture black and white drivers license photocopy lineup, but if she can, he's dead meat on a hook.

WhiskeyHotel 03-15-2012 07:04 PM

What a jerk. Glad she knew what to do.

mick 03-15-2012 07:04 PM

that could be a convict who had just got out of jail and the car may not be his. Bad people always ruin everybody's day.

KillerBee370 03-15-2012 08:47 PM

Just a terrible feeling of helplessness when the wifey calls you crying and so upset. :shakes head:

What's wrong with people?

Red__Zed 03-15-2012 08:51 PM

BeemaaZ 03-15-2012 08:53 PM

Wish you wife took some pictures or video of the D.B.
Those guys never picked on guys because they are cowards.
Glad your wife is okay.

indodarknight 03-15-2012 09:12 PM

dude, can't believe that happens,

hope she feels ok and not too traumatize by it!!!

hope cops find the bastard!

Jasonle 03-15-2012 09:18 PM

Wow that's bad.. Does she have her ccw? My wife wants one. It be good to have i think.

frost 03-15-2012 09:35 PM

x2 on what these guys said. Just glad she's okay. My other half armed herself and went to some shooting classes after a road rage incident.

djpathfinder 03-15-2012 10:26 PM

Holy sh!!! Glad she wasn't hurt.

slo 03-15-2012 10:27 PM

have a police report made, let them contact the dealer....

I remember those times, when I was living in CA working as a bouncer at pro billiards, off los feliz near griffith observatory. When I came across someone with road rage, lets just say they came into a big surprise. Nothing like knowing you helped change their life for the better.

zero 03-15-2012 11:18 PM

What's a douchebag!! Hope he found his match soon...

California's not a shall-issue state, it's one of the (few remaining) may-issue states, meaning it's completely up to the whim/politics of local law enforcement whether they decide to allow you to get a concealed carry permit. :shakes head:

Mike 03-16-2012 11:51 AM

Sorry to hear that, glad she wasn't hurt!

m4a1mustang 03-16-2012 12:31 PM

Damn that sucks. What a jerk. At least she's OK. Could have been much worse. :(

370Ztune 03-16-2012 12:49 PM

Good to hear that she's okay. I've seen some really crazy stuff on the 10 and 110; not as bad as this, but still dangerous. I love the city we live in....

TMAN1985 03-16-2012 01:00 PM

In Florida, he would have got shot. Your car is like your home here. No duty to retreat.

phelan 03-16-2012 01:01 PM

Like KB said...I bet the guy would be licking wounds right now if he was in the car, not just his wife :stirthepot:

Wow I'm speachless. I can't even imagine!...I'm soo sorry that happened to her. What a complete nut job that guy must be. I'm glad she is ok, freaked I'm sure - but ok. :shakes head:

Pauly 03-16-2012 01:11 PM

the good lord will take care of that. just like he took care of your wife, you reap what you sow, and every man meets his maker and answers for his actions. that guy will get what is coming to him.

martin82 03-16-2012 01:23 PM

where exactly on wilshire? I am on wilshire all the time and an E300 with dealer plates would be easy to find...

slo 03-16-2012 01:35 PM

for a wife, I would sit in a parking lot along wilshire around the same time, 10 minutes early and late, chances are, that's a route he might take leaving or going to work. What happens after that is your choice.

Lot's of legal options or others.

I have been thinking about this whole situation...I don't care if a chick is talking on the phone, eating a donut and putting on mascara at a light...there is just no excuse to act even remotely close to this. I just can't believe that guy!

I don't think that other guy has been in the area for too long. His time will come, he will eventually pull that on someone that is the way I "used" to be or the type of people that I knew.

That will be a life changing event.

heebus 03-16-2012 03:21 PM

I'm very sorry to hear this. I too drive on Wilshire all the time and will keep a look out.

I was at the intersection of Sepulveda and Venice once and saw a guy get out of a nice Acura and go over to a little gardening truck. He yelled "why did you honk at me!" and proceeded to punch through the window. I can't imagine what someone could do to make me that upset.

3zworld 03-16-2012 03:47 PM

Yeah..bang..sorry officer, I was in fear for my life and bodily harm. Sorry your wife had to experience that. This same type thing happened to my wife and she called me on the way home from work and I hauled *** to where she was, she had to keep me from killing the guy, glad she did or I would be in jail till this day more than likely...I was so enraged at him for doing that to her that I got stupid myself. Like others have said, he'll run into the person that just doesn't care if they sit in jail or looses it themselves in the heat of the moment. There was also another time a few years ago that some (he had to be drunk) guy in a truck on I95 tried to run my wife and I off the highway because he felt we should have not changed lanes and got in front of him...lol

Let me look at the police report when she gets home today. I'll let you know.

KillerBee370 03-16-2012 05:57 PM

Since it was new car (could have been used I guess), I'm guessing it was an E350 as the Merc website doesn't show an E300.
