Apparently she was a little slow getting on the gas when the light goes green so this idiot lost his sh!t. first he goes around her with all sorts of friendly gestures which my wife apparently ignores then proceeds to cut her off not once, but three times trying to run her off the road. Well on the third go around my wife lays into the horn pretty potent like and I guess that did it.

He slams on the brakes right in front of her blocking her car between his and the cars directly behind her. Tight in the middle of a busy boulevard mind you. He jumps out of his car and starts threatening to KILL HER all while trying to break the windows with his hands trying to get in at her! She had the sense to make sure the doors were locked and called 911. At that point, he saw that she was on the phone and jumped back into his car and fled but not before breaking the side mirror. She started to follow but the 911 operator told her any accidents would be her fault should one occur under those conditions.

Anyway, white guy, late 20's early 30's, brown hair, short with medium build and a possible lip piercing. It's a long shot but if this sounds familiar to anyone I would just be tickled to hear about it. She stuck around and filed a police report but I'm not holding my breath as it's probably not high on their radar as things go.

Needless to say, if I were there it would have been a different outcome

sounds like a meth head or coke addict. sorry to hear it

California's not a shall-issue state, it's one of the (few remaining) may-issue states, meaning it's completely up to the whim/politics of local law enforcement whether they decide to allow you to get a concealed carry permit. :shakes head:

Sorry to hear that, glad she wasn't hurt!

m4a1mustang 03-16-2012 12:31 PM

Damn that sucks. What a jerk. At least she's OK. Could have been much worse. :(

370Ztune 03-16-2012 12:49 PM

Good to hear that she's okay. I've seen some really crazy stuff on the 10 and 110; not as bad as this, but still dangerous. I love the city we live in....

In Florida, he would have got shot. Your car is like your home here. No duty to retreat.

Like KB said...I bet the guy would be licking wounds right now if he was in the car, not just his wife :stirthepot:

What's wrong with people?

Wow I'm speachless. I can't even imagine!...I'm soo sorry that happened to her. What a complete nut job that guy must be. I'm glad she is ok, freaked I'm sure - but ok. :shakes head:

the good lord will take care of that. just like he took care of your wife, you reap what you sow, and every man meets his maker and answers for his actions. that guy will get what is coming to him.

where exactly on wilshire? I am on wilshire all the time and an E300 with dealer plates would be easy to find...

slo 03-16-2012 01:35 PM

for a wife, I would sit in a parking lot along wilshire around the same time, 10 minutes early and late, chances are, that's a route he might take leaving or going to work. What happens after that is your choice.

Lot's of legal options or others.

I have been thinking about this whole situation...I don't care if a chick is talking on the phone, eating a donut and putting on mascara at a light...there is just no excuse to act even remotely close to this. I just can't believe that guy!

I don't think that other guy has been in the area for too long. His time will come, he will eventually pull that on someone that is the way I "used" to be or the type of people that I knew.

That will be a life changing event.
