All HFC's are illegal in California, use them at your own risk of being popped.

My duramax truck is completely straight piped... 42k miles and no issues so far. Also had my G37 running test pipes for 2 years no issues.. Even when getting pulled for other things.. No front plate, tinted windows/tails ect... I say go for it IMO!

How would the cops even find out?

If they took a peek at the under carriage, the HFCs look stock.

No issues eng. Buy good ones and have a pro install them and uninstall prior to smog. Be ready for sound and power! Consider a tune if you are combining with other in/out mods.

Those are a great choice, as are Berk HFCs. Unless your exhaust is stupid loud i.e. straight pipes, it is highly unlikely you will get pulled over and if you do, I doubt it would be for your exhaust. HFCs are also perfectly capable of passing emissions, it's just that visual inspection that could get you if the person actually checks under the car.

I have a 2011 nismo and so far I just got the K&N typhoon. Now would you think the rasp with the Resonated HFC's would still be noticeable?

BTW this is not a recommended DIY- if you're going with FI model consider having SpecialtyZ do them. PM Seb for details before you order. Find them in the vendor area.

I was running super lean after my HFC's went on.. G3/CBE was already in place. Good to have A/F mix checked after install. Seb can do that and advise if tune is needed. Battery pull/ECU reset may not be enough.
