310 Meet

Hey guys...

Thinking about starting up a bi-weekly Wednesday night meet in the 310 area. Perhaps Torrance or ?? Maybe a pre-dinner/dinner timed meet where we can hang out and eat with a once a month cruise or something. What do you think? Anybody in this area? Ideas for location? Lemme know!

minicobra brought up an idea yesterday that socal peeps can have a weekly/monthly meet and its always different location so it would be fair for everyone who is driving far
from certain areas

just a thought

hows the short shifter working out?

Not a bad idea at all. I wouldn't mind driving to different locations if it makes it easier for more people to show up.

Short shifter is working out great. I will be updating my journal on it soon.

That would be awesome. You guys are gonna love it down there. I can try to find out when the next dyno day will be but they just had one not too long ago. Let me know when you're going and I will join you guys.

Technosquare is not quick about answering their phone or email, but they eventually do.

You'd better put on some suntan lotion so you don't get burnt! ;)

There's no point in fighting the urge... besides, there's a LOT to be gained with very little!! ;)

Killerbee,

Didn't you already have the Technosquare ECU Tune?? So what were the results??

Yeah I have it. Haven't you been following my journal here :shakes head: LOL

Anyway to make a long story short, the ECU tune gave an extra 11 whp and 10 lbs. torque. But it's not just the numbers... the tune also gave much snappier throttle response, raised the redline to 8000 rpm's, got rid of top speed limiter, etc.

Starting base line dyno: 261whp. End result with tune and HFC's & CBE: 312 whp.

DJcuetip 05-06-2009 02:58 AM

where did you get the ecu tune?

That is a pretty good final number  I would be interested in this tune, but I don't think I would want my rev limiter moved to 8000, just b/c I know how I drive, it will make me destroy my engine that much faster :icon17:

You know it's funny you mention the rev-limiter. I've only had it up there at 8000 a couple of times and it wasn't under any normal driving condition. It was in a first gear burnout where I smoked the tires all the way up to redline (Video coming ;) )

Anyway, my car gets moving so damn fast in terms of mph through the gears that I almost never even get to 7000 rpms before a shift ensues! Now I imagine when I hit the Texas Mile in October I will definitely take full advantage of this higher rev limit but on normal streets... not so much.

I live in downtown..next to staples...willing to meet up. Just got mine a couple weeks ago..and love it. I haven't seen any other 370's yet. I'm the first at my school.

Nice! The more the merrier. You go to SC?

Rogue Z 05-08-2009 02:51 PM

Thats funny...everyone asks me that...No i go to Cal Poly Pomona...i just love downtown, staples center, LA live, hollywood near by. So i commute to school but, traffic not bad, get there quicker now with my 370 haha.

KillerBee370 05-11-2009 01:16 PM

Let's get the ball rolling here on a rotating meet night. Let's start with a good (week) night that works for everyone.

For me, Wednesday's and Thursday's are winners. Possibly Monday's as well.

Rogue Z 05-11-2009 02:08 PM

I really pist that i missed the Malibu cruise.....down for another one near L.A.

zero 05-11-2009 03:28 PM

Depending on the location, weekday might not be possible for me, but I am interested. Weekend Z run would be cool. We used to do that with the 350Z group back in 2003-2004.

KillerBee370 05-11-2009 07:58 PM

Alright since week nights are kinda hard for peeps..

How about a cruise/meet on Sat. the 23rd? Shall we post up a thread to see who's interested? I think it is far enough out to clear the schedule for people.

Thoughts?

zero 05-11-2009 08:50 PM

I might get a clear bar installed on the 23rd.

tru_Asiatik 05-11-2009 10:02 PM

no meets for me till mid june :(
gotta prepare alot of things for family stuff

molamann 05-12-2009 09:16 AM

Too bad I won't be back in L.A until at least July'ish. Anyways my stepdad's warehouse is in Gardena so I'm in the area quite a bit.

Don't worry, I believe we'll be closing the State of California as we are going bankrupt with no fix in sight so we might temporarily close the State for a while. :ugh2:

phelan 05-12-2009 11:44 AM

I'll join in July, when things get a little less hectic at work. I like the idea of moving it around. Weekdays are hard, but I work in Torrance, so maybe it's doable. Weekends I'm back in the OC, so...yeah... :P
