CARMAGEDDON!! Stay away from the 405!!

"How Angelenos are coping, or not, with “carmageddon” – the 53-hour shutdown of a crucial 10-mile segment of freeway here – is the topic of conversation no matter where you go in this city." Check it out! |
You know sad thing is people will still attempt to go on that freeway

Had the state not shifted funds from the dot? There would have been plenty of money to make alternative freeways as well as completing the 710n to the 210
Thank god I don't live near the westside :ugh2: |

Driving back from vegas was pretty bad, but I'm not 100% on if carmageddon caused it
|
We will have to go through this again next year too :shakes head:

yup.. i heard on NPR they were still deciding whether or not it'd be in July or August of next year..
I was loving the traffic on the 5 and the 10 on saturday though, since everyone stayed home, it took me 10 mins to get to LA!! it usually takes me about 25-30 mins :happydance: |

Even traffic around the closed area of the 405 was very good. City streets included....
For the next closure, it probably won't be as good. |
yup because people who stayed home will hear from others how the roads were clear and they wont stay home for next year
